As some of the local racers know, Calvin Hall, the owner of Redneck RC, will finally be receiving the kidney transplant that he has been waiting for since last year. Originally, the surgery was to take place at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester NY, but they canceled last year and postponed, as there was an issue with the donor. Calvin had everything switched over to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse NY and found a new donor, local rc racer Matt Kenyon. The transplant surgery is taking place Tuesday, October 20th.

That being said, This Saturday, October 17th, Redneck RC will be hosting a little benefit race. Here is the race info:

Format: 1 round qualifying. 4 cars make the A Main. 2 bump up from the lower mains.
