I plan on getting some laps in this year after a few years break. Was at the track yesterday going over the classes/rules with mike. I could run 10.5 nascar just have to pick up a 1cell pack or two.

I picked up a Latemodel body so I can run that class but don't have a 17.5 so just have to run brushed 27turn for now in the late class.:(

RACNFUUL
10-07-2009, 09:32 AM
you should be able to pick up a good used 17.5 motor at the track on sat. guys that ran 17.5/ 4600 last year are going to run 13.5 lipo this year . ithink mike also has new 17.5 for sale. both classes are pretty competitive . come on out to the track sat. nite and see for yourself .any class you race will be a lot of fun!

quick question on the rules for the body, can you cut the back out or does it have to be closed? im hopin to make it down in a few weeks to check it out!

Z-Main Loser
10-27-2009, 10:24 PM
Remember Mike you have to have a McAllister Hagerstown body. But ya good question. If Jams has any LM bodies in stock let me know because I'm planning to come down and get one this weekend. Depending on what goes on I may race on the 6th or the weekend after. Definitely going to run OLM but will be up for Nascar if anyone else is interested.

I kmow certain people like to get on hobby talk and talk trash (names witheld due to maintaining integrity of track and all who race here ) derek , todd ,travis , pete , nick and the rest of you that race at pete's and michiana YOU ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO RACE AT JAMS - ANYTIME !!!! I WOULD AGREE THAT MOST OF YOU ARE BETTER DRIVERS THAN DRIVERS AT JAMS BUT I BELIEVE THAT IS DUE TO LACK OF COLLABORATION NOT LACK OF SKILL MOST OF US WISH YOU GUYS WOULD COME BACK AND RACE WITH US AND MAYBE HELP US OUT WITH SET UP . I KNOW THAT CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS HAVE MADE IT UNCOMFORTABLE TO RACE HERE BUT I THINK MOST OF THEM ARE GONE AS FOR THE OLM CLASS THE HAGERSTOWN LATE MODEL BODY BY MCALLISTER IS WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO RUN BUT IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING DIFFERENT I'M SURE MIKE WOULD MAKE AN EXCEPTION IF YOU RACED ONCE IN AWHILE , ONE AGAIN EVERYONE WELCOME LEAVE THE CRYBABY, TRASH TALK , I'M BETTER THAN YOU , BULLSHIT AT HOME !!! COME RACE , EAT SOME GOOD FOOD AND MOST OF ALL HAVE FUN - THATS WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT ( this post was not intended to offend ANYONE just set the record straight) thanks RICH

10-29-2009, 01:55 PM
right now i run a nascar body with the back cut out in the super stock class at Petes, im very interested in coming down and checking it out& maybe race there from time to time. im shooting for next saturday , just to check it out and brush up on your rules

If you come down to race you could run 17.5/4cell without changing bodies, any body allowed for the " late model class " or OLM 13.5/1cell lipo with mcallister #198 hagerstown late model body which is in stock in the hobby shop at the track. the first time you race you can run your nascar body in OLM mike usually lets you run what you have the first time you come just to get a feel for the track to see if you like that class without changing a bunch of stuff you can call him at 574-936-5297 just to be sure. either way i'm sure you will have a good time ! great track, great food come on down and have a good time hope to see you sat nite !

Hey Z MAIN don't have anybody running 10.5 right now but bring your car just in case still early in the year most of the 10.5 racers are still out farming i guess LOL. haven"t seen you in a while, come on down and race or just help me set up my 13.5 car . see you in november.

Yep Still On For Sat Nite. Sportsman Class Is Not Running So The Kids Can Trick Or Treat. Bring All Your Cars Limited Schedule Initially Set But We Have Had Small Crowd So Far , So All Classes Will Run Until It Gets Busier . Hope To See You There !

Just to get a clarification, what exactly is the motor rule. I heard Novak SS only for all classes. If this is the cases this might change things.

mlporkchop65
10-31-2009, 03:27 PM
i have a Novak 13.5 layin around for now, you can run it at jams if you want Z main , im not gonna need it until i go lipo

Whippersnapper
10-31-2009, 09:55 PM
As far as I know Novak SS's only, not trying to get into the motor of the week
being this is more family friendly.

I can almost agree 100% about sticking with the one brand is a good idea. This was the GREATEST thing BRL did when they started to assure everybody was on an even playing field. Now they have switched to allow more than one brand which is good for them, I am not sure you will see more than 1-2 people that run Jams attend a BRL race. I remember when Pete did the same things when the brushless stuff came about also. I am NOT gonna get into a war of words about this and that, not my reason for posting at all, just letting you know how I feel. It has been along time since all the local tracks were even close to being on the same page with rules and I HONESTLY dont think it will ever happen. Is this bad? If everybody has cars and classes are full then I dont think so. My suggestion is if you want to run your brand or brands of motors bring 3 people and have your own class, that way you can run the COT body and run 100% under BRL rules.

As STATED above I am not trying to get into a war of words if you wanna talk pm me and I will give you my cell number, this is not the place to trash talk.

Not a PROBLEM Rich it happens, I felt terrible when I got into Jeremy last week. I personally really like the way things are going at JAMS and hope they continue in the future. My son is having a BLAST racing which makes me very happy just have to remember to not YELL at him to much he is still a learning and having fun.

seems like with the kids racing everything is more stressfull you just want them to do well and to listen to what you have to say, kids are kids and as long as they are having fun carter has been going racing with me for 5 or 6 years and has had no interest in racing until this year go figure he says its fun and can you make it go faster dad? i remember those days when all you wanted to do was go fast, i said " don't forget to turn left " see you saturday, RICH
