I must say it is quite the nice little engine.

The muffler, well I do not like it as much. It really hangs down which I am afraid will cause problems for some of the other makes of cars out there.

The good news is, the engine comes apart really easy, just like the OS.

I took it all apart, removed that pullstart, popped out the sleeve, piston and crank. Then I proceeded to take my Dremel to it. Don;t you just love taking a cut-off wheel to a brand new engine? :D Wacked off th little tit that is used for the pull-start and put it all together. What did I use for a backplate you ask. The OS backplate, fit up perfect.

Mounted the CEN muffler up, put it in the car and fired it up.

I really think this will be a nice little engine, so far anyway. I will have it at the 500 and put it in the car for some testing.

I didn't here any results on the 500 test session, Does it have any rip or not? Can't beat that price. :thumbsup:

As busy as I was trying to go fast, I did not get a chance. Maybe at teh Boyd race.

Are you going to run nitro in 2010 Lil Red Riding Hood? I don't think that Tower engine would work too well on them horses............

Oh yeah-by the way- if the Schedule works out i plan on running for the points this year. I am waiting patiently for the schedule to be posted,as of right now i have nothing major planned for any other hobbies including the horses. So maybe i'll be able to make all of them this year. Just can't stand the thoughts of the SMURFS winning another championship. That just will not do guys. I expected more out of you Scotty Boy, I thought that you could handle them smurfs. Then Sambo let me down, Atleast i will be in there way this year so maybe one of you two guys can win the championship.

Got those bad boys safety wired to the motor. It may come loose but it won't fall off!

As long as it will push fuel, loose can be good.

Mitch, the only time the pressure from the muffler really helps is on starting. The rest of the time the fuel is drawn into the engine. My muffler was off for at least 350 or so laps at Easley and ran all the way to the 500 lap mark, no pressure line.

I do not for one second think that we were not headed into a depression, this is not Obama's fault. I do however think that there are others that would have better ideas and solutions to what has happened. That's the problem with Nitro...you never know what will change and when. You guys should go brushless/Lipo and all of your worries will be over. :rolleyes:

69, sorry to hear about your brain injury. It must really be something to deal with the constant dillusion that LiPo and Brushless is not the answer it was touted to be.

I will tell you this. We, GASCAR, have had the same rules for the last 3 years I have been involved with 3 changes. The fuel tank size, it was made smaller due to the change from Associated. The muffler, also discontinued by AE, but was easily replaced with other options. The engine, the .12's were disontinued and replaced with the .15. These 3 changes have not turned our racing upside down nearly as bad as the debacile that is electric racing.

Well.......if you would race the four stroke engines, you wouldn't have to worry about the tank size as much, and then you guys could argue about timing as well. Just having some fun Scott. I certainly know what we have with the brushless right now. We just don't have a track big enough for me to try the slower Nitro stuff around here.
