Just thought I would start this thread to get everyones opinion on it me myself would like to see this happen at all major events its part of who we are and are very blessed to live in this country it would be nice to pay tribute to the flag and those that sacrifice themselves to protect the nation and our way of life

Thanks for your input guys I just think this has been over looked in 1/4 scale I have been rc racing for 20 years in the other scales I was involved in it was done so I was kinda shocked at the lack there of at national events and or major local races in 1/4 scale and think it needs to be done

We had it at the NCS race at veterans Park Speedway.

At minimum, tracks should fly the American Flag. The anthem could be played at the end of the drivers meeting when all are gathered in one area.

If I recall, Freddie done this at one of the races last year.

This has to be a no-brainer!
At LQSS we always play our National Anthem before the show commences. We also play the National Anthem of any visiting drivers. Here's a very short video of QMS's Larry Cross on a parade lap at LQSS Sydney, to the sounds of the American National Anthem, way back in 2004.

I forgot to add in my last post that on every body I make, behind the rear tires on the panel you will see a US Flag sticker there, does not matter how big or small the car body, there are flags on the quarter panels. Just a little thing I like to do.

Will, I just put an MP3 on the LPR track computer, Help me remember to play it over the PA system at the next race!

We fly the flag at Boulder and we normally have the anthem before the mains. I am sure that it will happen at the nats.

I have ran at the track in clover s.c. from the time it was built. when we started their the man that ran the races flew the american flag and played the national antham at the beginning of all races. as it changed hands over the years they stopped. i think it was a great idea then and now. i think it made for better racing when this was done. got racers in the right frame of mind to appreciate what they have and enjoy it better. great idea.

Hey guys, another thing we do "down under" is to send a car out on a parade lap carrying the National Flag, when the National Anthem is playing.

i have always believed ALL rc scales should have a flag flying over there race track in the very least and the national anthem played whether it is a national event local event or any event something that has been over looked and should stop
