Hey all, first real time I've been in the vintage section. I don't really have any diecast older than the mid 80s, however I just received 2 from way back from 1969! My girlfriend is a nanny to a 4 year old boy and a 5 year old boy, and over the weekend their dad and them went treasure hunting in their backyard with a metal detector, and pulled up a couple of vintage diecasts! And the dad gave them to me knowing that I have a good collection, so after some looking around(and scraping of dirt haha) I found that the 2 are a Johnny Lightning Frantic Ferrari, and a Hot Wheels Chapparal 2d. Now, I have no idea how long they've been beneath the surface, but it sure shows. They are really beat up, the JL missing it's hood/engine, and the HW missing 3 wheels and it's rear engine cover and wing. So, after a good clean up, they'll be some good conversation pieces!!!! Here's my attempt of some before pictures, they turned out horrible because apparently something's wrong with my camera..but you can kind of see them. I'll post some after pictures once they're cleaned up! Thanks for looking

Neat old fossils from the backyard...

Looks like your Frantic Ferrari has a front wheel from a

Topper Sling Shot or TNT..... a customized Dinosaur :)
