Opening oval weekend... who's gonna be there. Track is in the best condition ever. Lots of pit spaces, new truing station, upgraded tech area running all tour rules.

So far it's been a couple of COT / 13.5 cars and some VTA's for practice. We'll be running legends, 13.5 COT, VTA's... any others that show.

I'm also going to be working on the 17.5 truck class so if there are some guys that are wanting to get that going I'll have mine ready to race.

Should be a great weekend of racing, come on out. :thumbsup:

I'm putting an R5O together for 13.5. Won't make opening weekend but soon after. If anyone else has a R5O, have you noticed the 50wt shock oil in the kit is a lot thicker than Associated 50 wt off the shelf? Is there a reason for this?

How many 13.5 COT cars are going to be there this weekend?

Great racing this weekend... 6 13.5 cars! Congrats to Billy Kimpton for the win and Ritchie mac for second. Cars were close all day and at one point in the third qualifier all of the cars were on the same straight racing together. COT class is a lot of fun.

I got to test run the 17.5 truck and it's a blast. had a timed run of 48 - 4.03 with a 4.85 fast lap. Got 4 runs on the World GT tires and there was minimal tire ware. This is going to be a fun class to run so I need for you guys to get some trucks together. LETS RACE THE TRUCK!!!!!

There may a some later in the year. I will have one and a friend has one. I want to get in some testing before the Birds. I may not get to Rosewood untill after the Ovalmasters.

I'm going to do my best to help build the class. I think it will be a great way to have some serious fun without all the battery of the month deals and expense of tires every week or so. The Truck looks awesome out there on the track and the speeds are real manageable.

When do you think you might be able to come out?

I'm almost done with my R5O, getting a 17.5 motor most likly will be the Oct. 23rd I predict I will be able to show

TOUR rules for all classes and Glenn is trying to get the tires in stock, they've been out at his suppliers but more should be coming soon.

It's going to be a blast. I've got an extra truck that Ritchie Mac is fixing up for the track and then another car that Eric Thomas has so we're gonna try to get some 17.5 racing going on. I think that lap times for the trucks should be anywhere from 4.6 seconds to 5.1 depending on setup and driver experience. You really have to free the car up and hit your line to get around.

i know of 2 trucks that are gonna try to get up that way ,bodies are being painted .all we need is the tires.never ran on the rug ,cannot wait to try it out.

i googled world gt tires and tires came up from crc and bsr. which can you use or both?

The World Gt tires from CRC and BSR have a purple strip. That is the only tire that Tour will accept. At this time TM is working on getting the purple strip material and may be making them. No other spec type tire is legal.

I'm actually testing on Jaco's right now but they don't have the purple stripe in them so they're not legal. I have some coming but not sure when they will get here. I'm sure that Glenn will have a full stock in the next couple of weeks, I'll touch base with hi just to make sure.

We've been running BSR - White LF / Silver gray RF / Pearl LR / White RR. That works now. When the grip comes up you may use a Black RF.

How did it go yesterday??

Light crowd, we need some racers. I made a test run with the truck and the track was a bit slower than it was last week. There is supposed to be a good crowd this weekend. Come on down and bring that 13.5 COT, oh and tell Kritter to bring the truck I'll have mine. There were two or three there yesterday that said they were getting one ready.

For all you Rosewood Racers, I talked to Glenn Saturday and we are going to be putting together a tech team to help with all racing classes. We also have copies of the TOUR rules onsite for anyone who needs them. If you're interested in helping on a weekly basis let me know. Glenn has been working hard on the track and it's getting in better shape each weekend with new ice and centerline barriers this past weekend. We need to support him and all his efforts to provide us a great place to race.

Not yet but when the boys get done running those little go-carts it will probably pick up. I don't think anyone's brave enough to run 7.5 yet. LOL!
