View Full Version : 41" USS Excelisor Kit fxshop 09-28-2009, 07:04 PM Sold! Model Man 10-02-2009, 04:11 PM There was such a thing? If I may ask, who made it and when? The-Nightsky 10-03-2009, 08:59 AM Lunar made it eons ago. Nice but complicated kit.Not for beginners. Griffworks 10-03-2009, 09:53 AM And then another company did a sort of "re-pop" of the kit. The Lunar Models kit was a mix of Vac and Resin parts. Main hull and nacelles were vacuum formed, softly detailed parts. The upper decks/impulse deck was one piece, sensor array, top of nacelle inserts, pylons and a few other parts were resin. The Collective took one of those kits, modified the parts and made it a complete Vac-formed kit which allowed the builder to make either version of Excelsior - allegedly, as I never owned nor saw one of these. I want to say they had parts to make the Enterprise-B, as well. I forget the exact scale, but want to say it was close to 1/500 scale. The decals were supposed to have been MUCH nicer than those that came w/the old LM kit - I want to say they were by JT Graphics, but might be wrong. . vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
