See you soon. sorry not this weekend, but next weekend for sure!!! going to put a nicad in his to try and slow it down more. lol!! nutz4rc 10-11-2009, 11:54 AM Saturday night was another fun night. Some close racing especially in the USAC (Losi 1/10th) Sprint car races. There were four sprints all very close until near the end. I put min upside down and that hurt my chance of catching up. But that is part of it. Need to make a couple more changes to the car. The kit motor and ESC are working fine so far. Some brushless running but as we know oval racing is about getting through the corners not just staightaway speed. See you all next Saturday. PepperRacing 10-11-2009, 12:14 PM Well said Larry, had a great time last night. USAC sprint has to be one closest classes at summit. I will miss the next 4 weeks due to UNCLE SAM, but I will be back. Thanks Larry and Dave for bring your 1/8 LM, I will be working on mine. nutz4rc 10-11-2009, 07:38 PM Sorry about getting into you late in the race. Someone cut into me and I had to go to the ice to avoid the car. I hit the brakes but still slid across and hit you. I think you got away but I ended upside down and the turn marshall was working on someones car so he didn't see me. But I got the car there so its all good. See you again soon. modeltech 10-13-2009, 09:36 AM roll call for this Saturday!!!!!!!!!!! Brad Boling 10-13-2009, 11:46 AM I've been pretty busy. I just got the USAC sprinter wrapped up for the most part last night. I still have plenty of work to do on my 13.5 COT rig. I guess thats what happens when you take a year off of pan car racing... daver 10-13-2009, 12:08 PM Congrats to Doug T. on the TQ & win in USAC sprint. Yes, you read it right :) trackdog 10-13-2009, 02:05 PM ouch....lol REH 10-13-2009, 05:40 PM Congrats to Doug T. on the TQ & win in USAC sprint. Yes, you read it right :) It's going to be a longgg winter! I agree with David that Doug drove great saturday but Kayla also was right behind him at the finish line to take second place. I hope she continues to race this class. trackdog 10-14-2009, 05:42 PM I seen that too. I didn't know we were racing with R/C royalty. I want your autograph Raber! jettvolks 10-14-2009, 06:05 PM So I was wondering what class I could possibly run at Summit. I have a Leading Edge with a 13.5 novak and only have 4 or 6 cell nickel or 2s lipo packs. I do have a 10.5 I could thorw in but not really sure where I could fit in with either motor. I also have 27turn brushed stuff I could toss in if I had to go that route. Bodywise can I run a latemodel body or does it have to be a specific type of nascar body (COT?) as I have one but not sure what one it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also what about the Slash oval? Are enough showing up and what are the rules for that class? I have an 1/8th body I could mount up and think it would be fun to run some oval with it. Trying to find somewhere I can run and not have to shell out a bunch of bucks to get into a class.:( Thanks, Randy nutz4rc 10-14-2009, 06:20 PM There are only a couple of us that have Slash Late Models but some others have talked about building. I don't know if the class will be run on carpet or not. Dale can explain that. Go to the Summit website and look under rules. You will find what you need to determine the requirements for the classes. daver 10-14-2009, 06:29 PM Dave R. Take a look at Boylan's post about 200 cars in stock at the Whip. Impressive. :) dk Those were the days! I remember 600 cars at King, NC one year for the ROAR nationals. jettvolks 10-14-2009, 07:25 PM There are only a couple of us that have Slash Late Models but some others have talked about building. I will let Scott the webmaster know. It normally is in the list in upper left hand corner. Hey Scott or Dale did you know the rules tab has disappeared? I will pm both of you as well as this post. nutz4rc 10-14-2009, 08:05 PM Hey guys, the link to the rules is missing from the Summit home page. Racers on the old oval thread asking about rules. I can't help them because I don't know the pan car rules. I notified Dale and Scott about the issue. If anyone of you can answer the question for the potential racer it would be helpful for him. daver 10-14-2009, 08:07 PM Summit Raceway 2009 / 2010 Oval Class Rules 13.5 Lipo Brushless Pancar Class Rules: Cars must meet BRL regulations. What kind of ESC are your using? jettvolks 10-14-2009, 09:13 PM Randy, If you want to bring it with the 13.5, I have a single cell Lipo you can run. We run the COT body, but I'm sure Dale would let you run what you have for now. What kind of ESC are your using? Dave, I am running one of the Novak Havoc (2s version) and have a Nascar body. I'm not sure what the difference is on the COT bodies. The one I have is pretty sleek looking and think it might be one. I appreciate the offer on the pack use. Not sure how soon it will be when I can make it over to run but definately want to and just trying to make sure I have everything lined up beforehand. One more thing can anyone please email me (jettvolks (at) yahoo.com) the BRL rules in something other than .doc format? I don't have microsoft word on my puter. Sorry I'm more of a surfer/poster/shopper type and don't do any real "work" on my puter. ;) Randy vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
