TFS Josh.
The Ferrari release makes me really excited. I will definitely buy a set.
I wonder how this will affect the prices of the series 1 and 2 release, including the 330 P4, what do you guys think?
Kotetsu 09-21-2009, 12:05 AM I'm sure the price will drop, especially if the new release have better quality... but it's not going to change the rarity of the older cars, so things might not be that simple.
troopeur 09-21-2009, 12:06 AM Thank a lot for these information . I'm very happy............specialy for the F1 Mclaren Gulf racing car . but please Kyosho fixe the quality control for the next collection.
troopeur 09-21-2009, 12:41 AM Price certainly drop , but you'll alway find a completist collector who need this first mold of the 330 P4.
hdaiptek 09-21-2009, 12:53 AM A new Ferrari series, now I'm excited. Let's hope that Kyosho would fix that QC problem by then.
troopeur 09-21-2009, 12:58 AM With ferrari kyosho don't have choice to correct the problem cause ferrari don't like his name associate to a bad product .
Kotetsu 09-21-2009, 01:05 AM Knowing how the Japanese do their business and how much importance they place on quality control, I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing improvements soon. Unless that's of course the new batch of cars are already made, boxed, and ready to be shipped. There's not too much time between now and the November release of the Skyline GT-R, so I'll be cautious about them. As for Ferrari #7, hopefully there's enough time to have the new QC standard enforced and implemented.
164hack 09-21-2009, 05:12 PM Thanks for the recon report, Josh. These Ferrari's are starting to become a love/hate thing for me. I love seeing the tooling sharpened up on the last set compared to 1 & 2 but I only picked up 4 examples from set #7. My goal was to have an example of each model and I guess I don't really warm up much to the racing marks, especially when I already have the type in a road version. But again, I am up for the improved models though #7 was the first one I wasn't all in on.
Shame to see those QC issues popping up. Especially on the Brit set with so many desirables. I guess we'll see how good Kyosho is at kicking some peoples butts and getting that crap straightened out.
hookie 09-21-2009, 05:18 PM Wow Josh, Thanks for the information and pics.
Skylines and Mc larens are not my favourites but be sure that a ferrari set will be mine.

Are any of these NEW castings or have they been used in previous releases??
stretchdog 09-29-2009, 04:02 PM I definitely know the California Is New.
Kotetsu 09-29-2009, 07:34 PM Based on the proto-type picture of the un-painted F50, the headlamp openings looks quite different from the F50 of Ferrari #1. Maybe someone who has the old F50 can confirm? Based on this observation, I do beleive that Kyosho is re-making these cars with new tooling. Also, the plastic chasis of Ferrari #1 have no structural features. And to stay true to what Kyosho have been doing I'm pretty sure they'll make new molds for that too. My bet would be on new castings.
Just my thoughts...
Josh
