Mach10_shooter 09-21-2009, 07:46 AM Are you open on Sunday? Practice or race? onefastdude 09-21-2009, 10:10 AM I believe the racing will remain the same as last year. Wednesday = On-road Saturday = Oval Sunday = On-road These are the actual race days. The other days of the week will be for practicing. What is the consensus for the oval classes for club racing? 10.5 single cell 7.5 single cell  open mod single cell 21.5 2 cell What do you local racers think? Kevin Cole 09-21-2009, 11:07 AM Hey Eli-Me and some of he Indy guys are going to try and make it down a couple times before the BRL race.I sure hope I can get you and some of your buddies to come up and check out the new track I'll managing in Indy. We're a few weeks behind Ken & Doug...we ordered our carpet last week...our lay out will be the same as the Birds with some nice onroad a few days a week. Ken & I have spoken a few times about a Indiana/Ohio points match up and maybe something like the I74 Classic between our tracks.Just a few thoughts for you guys to think about...we're still 3-4 weeks away from our indoor grand opening(we're still running on the asphalt until we are ready inside). By the way, congrats on your new sponsor.I told Ken I stoked to know I'm your teammate and glad to know you'll be running his colors. Take care buddy...and see you soon. realdeal 09-21-2009, 11:08 AM I'm not local (Lexington, KY) but I plan to visit several times. I think the 13.5 COT or the 10.5 single cell would be my choice. I need to get used to running on a larger track before I try to go too fast. If not, I'll just end up getting in the way. I know a couple guys that will be coming up that are interested in the 7.5 or open class. maverick08 09-21-2009, 03:59 PM Eli, You got a p.m. bud. Thanks, Todd Terry Z 09-21-2009, 09:29 PM Eli, I will be down mainly for 7.5 Pro Mod. If I build a 2nd car, I will run Open Mod. What are you, Monti, and John running? TMFZ ACE 09-22-2009, 12:27 AM Eli, I will be down mainly for 7.5 Pro Mod. If I build a 2nd car, I will run Open Mod. What are you, Monti, and John running? TMFZ call me MF , lost your number John Foister 09-22-2009, 01:45 PM I will be running 10.5 this weekend. Not got any 7.5 motors yet. Come on out and lets get the carpet broke in this weekend. Monti007 09-23-2009, 07:20 PM Terry, Right now this coming Saturday John, Dominic, Dugan, Kemp?, Chuck, and my self are going to run 10.5 single cell just so we can get the track up to speed. I think up to the BRL we will run 7.5 so we can get ready for that. After the BRL all I want to do is run Open single cell but I willl have a second car to run 7.5. I am just tired of going slow! Do you think that you can make it this weekend? I know Fine tune quit maybe bring that Dust Dean guy with you. Monti Monti007 09-23-2009, 07:27 PM BTW the track will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday Ken was rather adamant about the need to sleep and felt 10 was not do able. There may be a change later in the season but for now it looks like it will be like this. I can't wait to see everyone then. Monti Mach10_shooter 09-23-2009, 07:57 PM Bruce Moore and myself will be over Friday to run 10.5 and 7.5. I can't make it over Saturday. How many will be there Friday? John Foister 09-23-2009, 08:29 PM I am sure there will be a few of us there friday to break the track in. Monti is used to all that 1/8th nitro on-road HP......spoiled forever!!! Terry Z 09-23-2009, 09:41 PM Monti, I can’t make it this weekend. I had a dumb A$$ attack and I plugged my receiver pack in backwards. ESC went up in smoke. It has been awhile. LOL. I will try to make it down next weekend and defiantly the weekend before the BRL. I would like to run open mod once I get a 2nd car. Terry Z. Domenic Reese 09-24-2009, 01:23 AM What time does racing start saturday? Come on out and lets get the carpet broke in this weekend. John, What bodys are legal for 10.5 1c and are you cutting back out? Wings and spoliers? Thanks! Tshirt Man 09-27-2009, 01:31 PM I think everyone from the Lexington area had a blast last night. I for one can't wait for next week. Like always, awesome track! realdeal 09-27-2009, 04:18 PM John, What bodys are legal for 10.5 1c and are you cutting back out? Wings and spoliers? Thanks! I'm not John but I raced 10.5 1C last night. Bodies are the Nascar Nationwide style. Wings and back cutout is fine. The track is running the TOUR rules - http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/showthread.php?t=262829 The only exception is that the COT class is open body style for the next couple of weeks while stock of the COT bodies gets replenished. It was a lot of fun last night. I probably can't get a kitchen pass for every week but you can count me in about every other Saturday. I'll probably put together another car to run 13.5 this winter. Monti007 09-27-2009, 11:02 PM I want to thank everyone who made the trip last night. With out racers like you that support Tri-State it would not be as much fun. If you have any questions about set up or gearing feel free to ask. I like to see everyone get faster! Now if we can get the new owners to clean the ice atleast one time a night that would be awsome! Monti Well, perhaps if you would address the issue with us on a more personal level instead of trying to corner us on the forum and making everyone look bad, it might have gotten to in a timely manner. Monti007 09-28-2009, 07:50 AM Well, perhaps if you would address the issue with us on a more personal level instead of trying to corner us on the forum and making everyone look bad, it might have gotten to in a timely manner. I would like to think that your comment was sarcasim such as the case with mine. However, I did bring it up on a personal level on Saturday and you told me to go clean it my self. Gabby, I think just about all the cars in 10.5 were running wings. I was all over the place for roll out but felt 3.40 was about the best. There will be a lot of facotors such as ESC choice, and motor timing that will effect this. Koback, I am just trying to run your line! But what I mentioned to Gabby is what I rolled out here at Tri-State. I hope this helps. Monti maverick08 09-28-2009, 08:55 AM Hey Monti and Kevin, What bodies are you guys running in 10.5? Thanks, Todd Gross Monti007 09-28-2009, 09:03 AM Todd I ran the protoform CHD on Saturday. The THD will work well too. Did I hear correctly you were running a full size dirt car at Eldora? Yep, I got the stock car out about 6 times this year at Eldora. Had a blast! The only thing holding me back from racing it more is kids and money! LOL I didn't get to do any carpet racing last year cause I was busy building my stock car, so i'm definitely looking forward to doin it again this year. See ya Saturday! Todd triplejracer 09-28-2009, 02:17 PM hey monti, when are you and john going to start running 7.5. thanks Tshirt Man 09-28-2009, 03:12 PM Rob, such a question from the BQ at Saturdays 10.5 race....? McAllister he gave me a 10.5 with a 17.5 arm in it to run so he could outrun me.lol later BMCALLISTER01 09-29-2009, 10:56 AM Someone give me a needle so I can pop Rick's head before it swells anymore. Last night Someone broke into Hamilton hobbies, and then came to Tri-State and tried to hit us. Luckily the bad guys couldn't get past the steel entry doors and security system. If that wasn't bad enough, they were braisen enough to go back to Hamilton Hobbies and tried to get them again, but the owner chased them off. I'll see if I can get a list of what was stolen so that maybe the comunity can keep an eye out. Thanks.
