Proving Grounds is going to become a reality in a few short weeks. With Halloween approaching and the track opening soon, we felt this is the time to start to schedule events for this winters indoor race season!

The first event we would like to announce is the Halloween Havoc race scheduled for Friday October 30. Doors open at 6:00PM racing will begin at 8:00PM. More details to follow soon!

Are you thinking a team race type of thing or straight up race?

We have discussed both ideas, and others. We will decide shortly and let everyone know. Is there a preference on the racers parts?

Start it off right!!! Have a big payback!!! Have everyone put up an extra 5$ or whatever and it goes to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each main!!! That will get everyone out for sure!!!

is this an electric only night or is this all nitro and electric?

Any idea of a start time? Would like to come but wouldn't be able to make it until after school/work and it is a 2 1/2 hour drive.

I might have to remove my question, I have gotten enough PM's to know that the electric guys dont want to be on the track breathing nitro fumes. So I will come up with a plan B.

Start with electrics, run a short program, send them home and have the big boys race nitros after that...

no one knows how bad its going to get yet... buglite, its not fair to the electric or nitro guys to race on sunday, when the event is on a friday... i understand the concern the electric guys have but to make it fair have nitro guys marshall nitro guys, could we do something like that??

The pit is seperated from the track, so that should be fumeless, however, when the electrics have to race after the nitros, there will be fumes in the building. Nobody knows how bad it will be, but chances are that it is pretty noticeable...

I would have to agree. The place is not even built yet and I will tell you that the track will have more air movers in it than any other indoor track around so fumes should not be a issue:thumbsup:

Yes I would like to see a dozen nitro on the track and crank up those fans and see what happens! We can most likely do just that in a few weeks. :thumbsup:

I can hardly stand mine on a calm night outside, eye's water like a bioootch.:freak:

The smell is my second favorite thing about a nitro. The sound is the first! But that does not mean I want to let one idle in my bathroom and inhale the fumes. I think if you ask a die hard nitro guy even they will tell you the fumes suck.

We will figure something out, might have to split the night up or something, but we will make it work!

Yes the fumes burn broke in a motor one winter before a RC Pro series over when Dirtburners had there indoor place man the S%#! burns eyes even though I had a window and fan running.

I won't be able to make it Sat night either.... And there are quite a few nitro guys that won't be able to make it that night....

im in, wont have to work the saturday after, so i will be all set. cant wait to get on that track. will be running electric truck and SC.

I would think that you would want Nitro the following day after Electric other wise the fumes could still be hanging in the air the next morning. Then E would have either the rest of the day or the whole next day to air out the building.IMHO:thumbsup:

I think the other smells (farm fields nearby) would overtake any nitro fumes after 6 hours. If the vent is as good as they say still don't know why both couldn't be run fri night. plenty of people that run both at the same time, depending on what classes are offered.

Shoot Lenny that's not the devil that's just the Poprocks and Pepsi workin'!;) As for my line of thinking on clearing out the fumes it doesn't really matter since the winter schedule has Nitro in AM and Electric in PM on Saturdays.
