i just bought a 1/4 scale sprint.It has the radio already in the car. (well there is a unit with an antenna which connects to a battery pack) Since i am a newcomer to rc i am told i need a spektrum 3.0 controller. i just want to buy right the first time
this car is the 48 sprint out of nevada if it helps anyone point me in the right direction

I've got the Spektrum DX3.0 in my 1/4 scale too....i take it you have a spektrum receiver already installed and all you need is the Spektrum DX3.0 transmitter, so all you will have to do after you pick a transmitter up is bind the transmitter to the receiver and you'll be ready to go.
I suggest you go on Ebay and you should be able to find a good deal....remember all you need is the transmitter, some of the auctions will include receivers (which you already have) and/or servo's with the package.

even a dx 2.o will work and they are cheaper you can get a new one for a 130.00 with a receiver. i been looking for a 2.0 and reciever for a while and used ones were fetching 30 to 40 bucks less than new so for 40 dollars more i got a new one with warranty. just my two cents
