I received the muffler today from Tower. It was $9.99.

It is a bit smaller that I thought it would be.

As you can see in the picture, it is reversible. Meaning you can make it exhaust out either side. Neat idea I think. There is no baffle so if we decide we need one, it will have to be made. I figure no biggie. We might even find a washer that will work just fine.

Here are the pics, I will bolt it up to an engine and run it at the Rock in a couple of weeks.

Mounted on the engine and in the car.

I fired it up and it is a little different. It seems a bit louder and lower in tone than the HPI and the Associated. Using the same engine, set the exact same way, it sounds like it is restricted, just does not rev as free. We will see on the track.

Hey Scott,
Isn't that a clone of the #871 OS muffler?
If so I have quite a few of them in the basement.

I think that the 871 is quite a bit longer. I think the 871 will not fit most of the cars out there.

The OS #871 muffler is too big......... I have tried it. The OS #761 will work. I have run it. Just FYI
