EBay has so thoroughly ticked me off lately that I've decided to spend part of my Labor Day weekend cheerleading for people to try out Hobby-Bid (http://www.hobby-bid.com/). As its name indicates, it's a hobby-oriented auction site created by a kit builder. It has a few technical difficulties to work out (I hope a better shipping calculator will be a priority if the site takes off), but it works well overall. Plus, it's free to list and sell kits.
For the record, I'm not affiliated with Hobby-Bid, just an early user. I have a handful of auctions up there now, including several Horizon resin kits from the 1/8 Batman series. They are:
Batgirl (http://www.hobby-bid.com/item.php?id=41).
Mr. Freeze (http://www.hobby-bid.com/item.php?id=47).
KnightQuest Batman (http://www.hobby-bid.com/item.php?id=48).
Even if you're not interested in these, I hope you'll check out the site and consider registering. It truly has gotten hard for small-timers to make a profit on eBay and I'd love to see a competitor take hold.
Thanks.
