Alan, I want to add that we will also be using them on the RT281 Super Speedway concrete track too, I do not know how it will work out but since we have guideline to go with we will be using them as classes. I am a little worried about the COT on the Big Oval. We have tested it and wings may be in question.

I am sure that it will be mostly the 10.5 1cell and the 7.5 classes due to its size, After running on the 21.5 17.5 2cell and 13.5 1 cell on the concrete all summer. 17,5 1cell felt really fast on the indoor track, LOL the big track just sucks up all the feeling of going fast.

that sucks, one of the main reason that oval is the way it is! I may not like all the rules that tour has but atleast they are rules that everyone has to adhere too.

even bar stool racing has a " basic set" of rules so they cant compete nationwide!

If that's what the track is allowing then it's not running TOUR rules. I know at Rosewood there are a group of racers that are going to ensure TOUR rules are followed as closely as possible.

I think any track that says "We will follow TOUR rules" should sign a statement to that effect. It should be signed by the track owner submitted to TOUR. After TOUR receives it, TOUR should sign it. A copy should be sent back to the track owner. The track owner should display it where everyone can see it.

If the track violates the agreement, sanctions should be placed against that track.

I know that if I travel 3+ hours to a track and get there to find out they aren't following the agreement so now I have the wrong body, batteries, etc. I'm going to be royally mad that I made a trip for nothing. And before anyone says it, I shouldn't have to call the track to find out if there are rule changes.

Either you comply with TOUR or not. Nothing in-between.

Now I will sat and be quite again.

If a track says it will follow tour rules and the only thing is that they let cooling of the motors, don't think thats a big deal. Walk in the hobbyshop and buy a can of freeze spray for a couple bucks. Bodies motors and batteries will be a different.

I would think the No cooling of motors is mainly for indoor racing correct? Although I don't know how the motors will hold up at SnowBirds this year if you can't cool (freeze spray) for the endurance race.

I don't think that the motor freezing is the worst break from TOUR rules, it's the 13.5 class not using COT bodies that really screws up the class. But hey, if those guys aren't racing in any of the main TOUR events maybe they wont worry about it... it's just not a TOUR track.

What happened was too many classes, The Show up and have fun was 6 cell stock and mod only days!

Like Bill said the thing that will kill this is if every track has a little different rule...We dont run COT bodies, or we allow you to heat the pack (this is WAY more of an advantage over freezing), We dont allow wings in 10.5, you gotta run a spec tire, no Trinity motors (novak only track), Only Orion packs (just for you Joe...LOL).

I would call ahead and ask what classes track are running. Just because some tracks may run 17.5 trucks, and 13.5 COT as their main classes. Other tracks may run 13.5 and 10.5, and some may run 10.5 and 7.5. The classes really depend on the size of the track. We need to loose the stigma that 17.5 is for spec/new people, because at some tracks that might be the slow/budget/new class, and COT may be the big boy class. Just depends on the area.

I just hope people that dont run the entire TOUR class lineup at least chooses to run the 17.5, 13.5, and 10.5 1C classes exactly how they are stated. SK's will follow basic rules that we've allways had at Turn 4, With the exception of any Rar Approved 13.5 motor and 4000mah 25c hardcase 1cell lipo battery(SMC).

Fee's: $20.00 per entry, Unlimited Classes. This year we're hoping to help racers help us. Most of our events will be a $20.00 entry fee.

We'll be givin Trophies to one lucky STOCKIFIED CHAMPION for each Class.

Hours have yet to be determained! We will be open Fri-Sat-Sun That weekend.

well if someone drives 3 hours with a COT and finds out they could have run a CHD i am sure that will cause problems.

I thought the 10.5 and 7.5 were open bodies. Why not leave it at that. The Car of tomorrow is really the COT Car of Today

Yes, a body rule is a big deal. I wouldn't nitpick a motor freezing rule, but a body rule is another story.

i heard the story on why some tracks are allowing freeze spray... tracks will be losing quite a bit of money by not selling near as many motors, batteries, etc.. so it's understandable to wanna make some extra money on freeze spray.

i just wish all the tracks would go the same route whether it's use it or not. i was looking forward to not using it anymore but whatever i guess.

Yeah I agree Cory, but that one is a pretty cheap deal if you show up and can freeze. I usually have compressed air anyway, so I would be ok if I went to a track that allowed it. But I agree that it would be nice if everyone was on the same page.

Well, fortunately I don't use freeze spray, nor have I ever heated lipos... so that rule really doesn't effect me anyhow. Just because you can do it doesn't mean you have to do it.

As for the body rule, I think the fact they posted it well in advance of the race will leave enough time for people to see it and bring a car set up for the specific rules they are using.

It wouldn't be the first time anyone ever went to a track that didn't run the same rules as every other track in exsistance, so in reality it is only a big deal to those who choose to make a big deal out of it.

carpet racing is coming up soon. sept 26th for us. lets give up on the nitpicking and tattle taling on tracks about this and that. and sanctioning a track to use tour rules. we have close to 20 tracks right now on the list that say they will try out tour rules to start the year! thats awesome i think. lets give it a good chance to get off its feet b4 we try to fight over it and mess it up. just my 2 cents ofcourse and im pretty dumb at times

The main goal of the TOUR was to try and get everyone on one set of rules. In a effort to make it more fun and to grow. I am happy to have so much positive feed back from tracks and racers. In the end it is up to the racers and the tracks if they want this or not.

At my track we will run the TOUR classes and the racers who will do any traveling will run them. Some non travelers will run some of the TOUR classes others will run our local classes. Legends, brake out, and Latemodels, these are the classes where there will be a variance in the rules.

One of our goals for next year is to have a National Points Championship Series. Which will let racers who never leave their home track compete with racers from the other tracks in a national points system. We are still working on the details for this. For this to work any track partisipating will have to be on the same rules. More to come on this later.

The point is MOOT! this is a Banked track, we never run HD bodies....
if you do, you will be slow as hell!
