The 3rd annual Keystone Diecast CARnival will be held once again at the Holiday Inn of Lancaster County in Denver PA.

It will be the weekend of April 16, 17 & 18.

We will be having a similar format as last year. Informal stuff on Friday with maybe an added Club Shuffleboard tourney on Friday night, the main event on Saturday and on Sunday the room will be open for goodbyes.

More details to come as they become available.

I will be posting ads for the CARnival on the online boards as time goes by...maybe will post in the Lancaster Co. papers. Let's have a HUGE turnout in '10!

Just a heads up to all, we had to revert back to the week prior. The CARnival is now back to the 16th, 17th and 18th. There is a big antique weekend on the 24th and 25th and they could not get us discounted rates. It is amazing what a week makes! $130.00+ a night on the 24th and 25th. For us in the CARnival weekend we are getting rooms for $59.00 a night!

Sorry for switching dates again but this is for the benefit of everybody that plans to attend.

You would not regret it Pony, I have been the last 2 yrs and had a great time. Being but <3hrs from home here in NOVA makes it that much better. I ALWAYS get to meet great folks and bring home some very nice additions to my collection.;)

Sorry that there has not been much here in the form of hyping the CARnival up lately. I have been out of touch with diecast and such here in the recent past but just so you all know, the show is still a go! More info to come.

Ok so here's the deal - I spoke with Zia Maria's, the place we have been going on the Friday of CARnival. I can get 6 pizzas, chicken/ziti/broccoli alfredo, meat lasagna, salad and soda for $25 a head. That doesn't include tip or alcohol. Figure another $5 for the tip and alcohol will be you own tab. This will be a buffet style thing. We can take all leftovers back to the hotel as well. This was the price for 30 people. If we can get a few more it MIGHT be a bit less. Those of us who have been there know the food and portions are just amazing! If you haven't been , you need o get your quaterpanels in!!! PLEASE post on here if you think you want in on this. I am not sure if this will be on Friday night or Saturday yet. Either way, it's always a blast, great food and if it's Friday we will get the look alike for the lead singer of Disturbed as our waiter!! April 16, 17 and 18 are the dates of the show. Thanks!

For those arriving on Friday (highly recommended), a caravan makes its way to Reading, PA for a visit to Kiddie Kar Kollectibles (kiddiekar.com). Mike & Joyce have been opening their store after hours just for us. It's a diecast lover's dream! Wall to wall diecast! Johnnys galore! All kinds of brands new and old!!:thumbsup:

For the past couple of years a group of us have been going to a restaurant on Friday night that is just down the road from the hotel. It's called "Zia Maria's" (in case you haven't already heard). It's primarily Italian food and it is very good. We would like to get as many CARnival goers to come out and join the fun at Zia's. Contact has been made with the restaurant about arranging for some dinner specials ~ details to follow.

I'm sure Nick and his crew are working out the details for Saturday's events - racing, trading, buying, selling - and then there are the evening events ~ details to follow.

So jump off that fence and plan a trip to Denver, Pennsylvania for the weekend of April 16, 17 and 18. :wave:
