What kind of racing? Off Road? On Road? What scale?

Smoothness & Size.(IMO)

64pitch has a much more smooth feel to it and acceleration seems to be more responsive.Also 64pitch will allow more teeth in a smaller radius,thus allowing more room for gearing in tight rear pods or rides that have little adjustment with their motor plate.

I've always run 48p in everything from my off road trucks to my EDM but now that brushless is here there is just no way around it. You MUST run 64p as there is just no way to get enough gear in the car with 48p. I've always preferred 48p for the durability and ease of setting mesh but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. :(

Edit - You can still run 48p in off road as the tires are bigger. No way around 64p on carpet though with brushless.

Really depends on the application. Off road - nothing but 48 pitch. 64 wont put up with the stress. On road or carpet oval, go with 64. You get alot finer adjustment out of them.

i run 64 pitch on almost all my cars, my wifes truck runs 48 pitch

i just switch over to 48 was running 64 but my car was eating them up every 3 racies. but i run off raod right now. no on road tracks here
