Has anyone done a write up on dropping AFX Snap-on bodies? Is it possible? Has anyone done it? I would think it's kind of hard trying to move the clip slots and still get the wheels in the wells without them rubbing. It may be easier just dropping the front end. I don't know. Somebody should make a kit!

Check through the thread Back at the Shop. Randy has a trick for making new mounts for cars. He makes it look really easy!! There may also be a mention of it in the quick tips thread too..

Uh, Are these trick questions???
Check "Back at the Shop' thread page 14, #200. Just grind the old mounts out and add new ones. These are all running AFX chassis...RM

That new Monte Carlo does look WAY more like a pro stock than a stock car!
Great idea Randy. DOn't drop the old blue and tan bodies. They break real easy.

Wow, life is just full of coincidences! This thread is a perfect example.

So, there I was on the Harbor Freeway (110) this evening, on my daily journey home. I was thinking to myself:

"Self, a lot of people are not down with living in the LA area. Sure it's expensive to live here, traffic is murder and it's crowded as all get out. Buuuuuuuut, there's the scenery. Most folks would say "yeah, it's ringed by mountains and the ocean - big dealio." But I'm not hyped up on that scenery. I'm talking cars, trucks, bikes and anything else that moves on wheels kinda scenery. This be da places for dat stuff, homie." :hat:

With this thought barely leaving my frontal lobes, I spy this Blazer up ahead. Not O,J.'s Blazer! No, a Blazer that is all hunkered down to near oil pan scraping height. Traffic broke my way and I found myself rolling along side this automotive work of art. He was rolling on 20's with way low profile tires. Think Super G+ front tire thickness here on the back end. Man, it was totally sweet!

So here I stand
Blazer in hand
trying to slam her down
If she's high
I can't get by
I'll be wearing a frown

Pictures to follow when I quit writing songs and get the X-Acto out. :freak:

I think I heard him on the Easy Listening Channel the other day. Or was that in the elevator?
