I wanted to let everyone who is interested know that the movie VANISHING POINT is going to be on TV tonight. it will be on CINEMAX at 1130 P.M. west coast time and 230 A.M. east coast time. I will be taping it at 1130 P.M. This is good since it will be commercial free :wow:

Was it the original show or the 1998 TV movie?
The remake was horrible

The original. I have them both on DVD I taped it on VHS just to have it on each format. The DVD has a european version on the flip side and has additional scences. The remake was ok, i just enjoyed seeing the challenger.

tv vertion was awful, the 70s movie was good, loved the music, better on the big screen tho, and i think its lost some of the feeling it had, if you wernt around in those years you just wont know how scary it was in some small towns.

Plus, you just don't see naked hippie chicks riding around on motorcycles like you used too.

I'll echo what some other are saying; the remake blew - very hard. The original was a thing of beauty and should never be remade. (again)

I saw that movie along with "Dirty Mary and Crazy Larry" at the Drive-in in the 70's. It's two movies with plenty of Mopars, (Chrysler for you non car buffs).

What we need is a good movie with a guy owning a hot rod of a spaceship running from something. Maybe a movie based on a kind of merger of Logan's run and Heinlien's novel "The Number of the Beast".

Yeah and what a waste of two great cars!
I saw both those movies with my dad back in their first run.
I have loved both ever since.
BTW I get a kick out of Tarantino's Death Proof. The girls had to have a White Challenger just like Kowalski!
