Had a great time today racing with Madeline, wish Kaylee would have felt better to be able to come. Discovered Madeline's buggy was broke just before the start of the mains, so I gave her Kaylee's buggy. She's been resisting going up in gearing because she was afraid of the speed. Kaylee's buggy is geareed to be fast, so she had to deal with it. And boy, did she deal with it! She led the race for awhile and did a respectable lap count. I got a "Dad, make mine that fast when you fix it and don't tell Kaylee." comment from her afterwards. Now that's what I like to hear!

And the SST class, what a race! I can see why you guys are liking it so much. All I did was switch my COT car to some spec tires, the smaller SMC battery, and tossed a truck body on it. And what do you know - the dang thing picked up a few laps over its COT version and actually got me into the A and took 2nd place. Wish that crash hadn't happened, it would have been more fun to race you guys instead of driving through that carnage twice at full speed. What a mess you guys made! Guess I'll have to wait until next month to see toytech jump up and down on the stage yelling "I won! I won! I won!"

I was looking at the lap times in the buggy main to figure out how Madeline got the lead so early and found a 2 second lap at the start. Based on the lap times, she probably didn't actually take the lead until Rob crashed on lap 5. Anyway, This led me to check the other mains for short first laps, and I found 3 other places where it happened. Only one of them actually changed the finishing order (see attached file). Next month I'll change the "Delay First Lap Count" value to 3 seconds so it won't reward drvers who are asleep at the starting horn.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!

We definitely have a great group of people that help make the program happen.

But EVERYONE is part of what makes racing at Mt. Pleasant AWESOME!

We had somewhere between 90 and 100 entries today.
Several new racers.
I noticed quite a few father/son racing teams. That's pretty neat to me!

45 pancar entries spread out over 4 classes.
3 heats of stock trucks.
2 big heats of Legends.
PLUS all the 1/18 scale classes and more!

A great BIG thanks to Jim Hanson. That man is a machine!
Jim, you are a tremendous asset to the sport!

Congratulations to the drivers that won today. We had some pretty big upsets in the pancar classes! That's racin'!

Can't wait for next month!

When Cortez reached the "new-world" he burned his ship so that his crew would remain
well motivated. . . .

I sold my 13.5

Great Job Al! Your team owner should share the winnings with you. But, I think he'll be busy wrenching on his stuff. Something wasn't right with his "program". I predict another major upset in 10.5. :)

I don't think luck won you that race. You were wheelin' like crazy! It would have been neat to see you battle with Mel and Brian.

Sparky, when the pilgrims reached Plymouth rock they cooked Turkey and showed the indians how to make money with games of chance.
Oh look! a Chicken!:)

I'm gonna buy a new 13.5.:freak::rolleyes:

I made it through that crash twice. I just closed my eyes and let the fingers turn it when I thought it was right. Somehow I missed all 4 cars and the 2 corpses (er, marshalls). So you wouldn't have crashed out and probably would have won the A. Feel better now???

OK thanks Scott

Also I need to Know how many ppl stayed at the Driftwood That is the Bar/Motel in front of the Ice arena I am trying to get them to o be the Main Sponsor for the Spring Fling As I have to pay a lot of money this year for the Arena and I want to keep race fees down to the $15 for 1st entry and $10 for second on
I am still working with the city to see what can be down on cost The place normally rents for $1200 a day and they told me that The might be avle to do $500 for the 2 days total

So LMK on the rooms The have 27 rooms and a cottage Rooms rates are $50.40 with tax for 2 ppl in a 2 bed room So the rates are really great
I think if I can be committed to 10-15 rooms they will be the Main Sponsor and we will be all set

I will see you folks on Sat

Wheres Breakfast and who is buying mine if I make it in time
