This will be a sad day for me....I will not have a truck to run on Sat.

I don't think I will have my new one ready for the race.

But my plan is to race with Brian in the 10.5, using the method of acceptable driving used by Greg Dean and Mel "The King of the SST" so all is not a loss! This will be a fun event for me! (I hope the car comes home in one piece)

your week, bailing out of SST I guess we now were the worlds largest chicken lives

I'm not running 10.5 at MP this week end my car isn't ready

The only nuts that I would question are some of the individuals that I hang out with at the races!:)

P.S. Very classy having the FBI deliver my nuts! You must have some real good connections!
At least I think that's why the FBI is outside of my house.
Do they always draw their weapons and hide behind their cruiser when they deliver packages?
Hmm, I'm getting a bad feeling here.
Duke! Did you send some henchmen to my house in an effort to collect the 'code yellow' secret setup?

Thank you Mr. Scott! I owe you!

For starters - If you go to the Big Boy for breakfast, you will find yourself rather lonely. Unless Fred is with you. I suspect some sort of Racknor generated conspiracy to get you to go to Big Boy.
And just in case some of you forgot - BIG BOY SUCKS!!!

Breakfast is at Ponderosa at 8 am.

The address for the MP track is:
West Intermediate School
440 South Bradley St.
Mt. Pleasant, Michigan 48858

Ponderosa
1301 East Pickard St.

Update! Everybody's stickers are done, the new banner is done, all extra parts for you know what have been sent, pit tables have been saved, Mr. Dialed has his new car from Radio Shack, Rick R. has the trailer loaded, hooked up, all batteries charge for practice, race and mains. All of these batteries are in a seperate trailer in case of fire! George is resting for the long day of laughing so hard he cannot see his car after two minute's. Mark! well he has a new car with a new setup. Scott make sure the soft walls are in place.

Yeah this new car from Radio Shack is awesome. I did some comparisons and it has the same dimensions as the new car from LE. It even uses the same t-bar. Oh wait, for some reason it's also the same exact dimensions as the CEFX car. Now I'm confused...I don't know if i have an LE, CEFX or Radio Shack car. In any event, it will still have you fighting for 2nd place.

If you don't have the code yellow setup on your truck tomorrow... you'll be out to lunch and out of the loop.:)

Breakfast at Pondo, 8 am.

Depending on who is there, we will have a "code yellow" discussion. During practice tonight my "code yellow" OvalTrucker Racing Promotions SST was pretty fast. I suspect it'll only get better as the track gets better.

Duke, I'll fill you in on the "Code Yellow" setup first thing tommorow. It'll cost you some gears, some tires, some servos and a dirt oval car that's fast.
thank you in advance!:)

It was another good day at the track.

That was tooooo funny! Code Yellow.....what a trip....I guess I owe Keith, again!!!! Thanks Mr. Spoon Master, don't ever change!:)

What a blast, awesome time and a seriously great group of people to race with. Keith was right about the fun I would have and the guys that race there, first class group for sure!

Special thanks to Greg for lending me the 10.5 car, what a treat to drive, you can drive that thing with your eyes closed! (which is what it looked like when I drove it) Thanks again Greg, and yes I found my 10.5 car calling me names when I got home for the brain fart!

Scott you are a super host and awesome promoter. You are the main reason I got in to this carpet deal, your brain child we call SST, even though I did not know of you then, you are a huge asset to racing. A big thanks for buying me breakfast, I owe you. (Keith said he was going to but........)

Jim like I've said before thanks again for the awesome cars to get me started but I had to let them go, 2 friends of mine had to have them so I thought I would share. Awesome job on the mic except for the " Here Kitty Kitty" deal. I know Keith put you up to it so it's not you fault!:)
(I am starting to get used to the distractions though, pitting by Abbott and Costello and some of my wife's meds will do that to you.)

Mark, I think I got something for you next time!:) (thanks for slowing up for me)

A special thanks to the East siders for the schooling but I think I am starting to catch on to this "Do what ever it takes" when it's the main! I'm just glad its not like that in the 10.5 class!!!!!;) What's that famous saying "Eight is better than four" Mr. Keith! (I learn soooo much from Keith)

Thanks again for inviting me up!
What a treat!

I need to let the tears dry up a little before I put in here what I really want to say. To start with (Code Yellow) I learned about it so late I did not have time to paint a body so yes Scott I am a little mad at you for not telling me sooner! That has GOT to be the best one yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After reading all these post it is absolutely amazing how I get blamed for so much.

Now how about that Dave and Jon R. good run for both of you. Dave maybe if you have time sometime I can work with you on your reaction time. (Little slow) about 3/4 of a lap!

You SST boys need a hugh round of applause! What a showwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!

THANKS TO ALL THAT MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

I had about a good a day rc racing that anyone could ask for. Except for the diff slip. Oh well I had a blast.
The new track is awesome. Thanks to everyone that made that happen. I don't think the track has ever been that good.

THANKS GREG for loaning me the truck. It passed the time just like I was hoping for. I just can't sit there for all that time between races.

I'm can't take credit for "Code Yellow". I was at the discussion table when it was thought up and chose to join in. I think it was Brian's idea initially. At first I thought it was just a funny idea, then I had to buy a body and some paint!:)
I'm sorry Mr. Racknor or more people didn't get clued in on it soon enough.:p We had 23 entries in the SST class Saturday. Could you imagine 22 yellow trucks and then Duke?

Also, Pat and Brian had just as much to do with the SST class as I did.
It probably appeared as though it was all me because I chose to field all the questions and complaints and whining. But even alot of that stuff included 'behind the scenes' phone calls and emails between us. We even consulted with a few veteran hot shoes. We knew there would be bumps (Tall Buildings) to overcome and some racers would not understand the reasoning behind/need for a 'mid-level' class. That stuff is over for now.:freak:
I will say this though - Once we began racing them and the benefit of a strict rules package was apparent, things settled down and the racing/fun part took over. It has taken on a life of it's own since then.

To bolster that point I can't help but mention that 3 of the top six guys that are not really allowed to run the class [and at the start of the season said the SST's were too slow] begged and pleaded with me to let them run last weekend in the SST class. PLUS Zippy [a fully eligible SST driver] was running a truck that Deano built.

The moral of the story - I'm proud to be part of it. It's exciting to see what it has done for oval racing in Michigan. I [personally] have no desire to change any rules for the SST class for as long as the specified parts are available.

As far as the MP track goes. There are several people that are instrumental in making that happen month to month. Tim Briggs, Kevin Marcy, Don Dietsch, John Sparks, Mark Ciecek, Tims Dad (I don't know his name but he runs the concessions), more people who's names I don't even know, a bunch of kids that help setup and tear down and without a doubt Jim Hanson's efforts on the mic.

All of this is pointless without the racers though. We have a great group of racers between MP, BC and GR. It's good to know we are doing what we can to support the tracks. Not everyone gets to travel as much as they'd like. But we are doing what we can. Hopefully, when the economy gets turned around Michigan oval racing will grow even more.

Okay, I'm stepping off of my soap box now. Someone elses turn!:)
