View Full Version : M2 cars that I would like to see done
canadiancat 08-20-2009, 04:22 PM ok first of I am a new member here and am also a member of MCCH and Garys Diecast Drive Inn
but I will do a introduction a bit later if there is a place to do so\
But anyways I like the 50's car M2 has done and I believe they are still doing them?
I think some wagons would be neat
just not sure what wagons to do
I like the Nomad but it has been done already
maybe a Edsel wagon and although a 60's car maybe a 60 Valiant wagon
What do you think?
pontiaccrest 08-20-2009, 04:24 PM Pontiac's....Pontiac's....Pontiac's
72challenger 08-20-2009, 05:39 PM Hmmmm....lemme think about it....;)
usacarguy 08-20-2009, 06:02 PM 1959 GM's! Cadillacs have been done, I know. I'd like to see Buick, Olds, Pontiac.

88th division 08-20-2009, 08:11 PM 1958 Impala
1959 Impala
1960 Impala.....
I think you know where I'm going with this.
carhauler 08-20-2009, 08:24 PM Does it matter what we think????? I love M2s' authentics and some of their muscle; but I don't think they've ever produced a model based on whaT WE THINK.. Sorry, cap lock by mistake,,,,,,,,,,,Look at Ground Pounders and Drivers releases,,,,is that what you want??? How about a 60 Chevy??????????
rlyoung1 08-20-2009, 08:52 PM How about a line of hearses. Along with the usual Cadillacs throw in some Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs and Buicks. JL is doing a '57 Chevy.
craftymore 08-21-2009, 12:12 AM If we are going to have a list, I think these have to be included:
IMPERIALS of any of these years, '64-'73 which covers 3 different body styles. No true stock versions exist of any of these year Imps.
'70 Fury GT
'55 Mercury Monarch
'55 Continental Mark II - This is so far past due in small scale, it's a crime in 14 states.
'57 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser
'73 Monte Carlo
'75 Chrysler Cordoba
'54 Kaiser Special

Well why would they not listen to us? need I remind you we are collecters and collecters who is at least in part who the M2 cars are meant for. so it is waorth talking about considering we are thier customers. Of course it is not up to us to tell them what to do but we can give ideas
40Intrepid 08-21-2009, 11:07 AM More '50's Mopars!
I'd love a 57 Plymouth Sport Suburban wagon.
Dodge and Plymouth convertibles, 50's and 60's.
jonlite1975 08-23-2009, 06:35 PM I too am a new member and love the 50s M2s. I have almost all of them, 2 of some as I love to have the different colors. Very good quality product.
I would love to see them make a 1949 Dodge Cornet like my grandfather's. I, like so many other people have to live my dream with having models, as the real ones are too expensive.
Monaco 08-23-2009, 06:40 PM 1973 Oldsmoblie 442 Hurst
1974 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
1968 Plymouth Fury 4 dr sedan
1967 Ford Galaxie 2 dr hdtp
1973 Dodge Polara 4 dr sedan

Yeah, what Zach said!
I'd like to see offerings from companies other than the Big Three. Kaiser is already listed; add Packard, Fraser, Nash - you know, iron tanks!
Firehawk73 08-24-2009, 12:50 AM We need them to make some Pontiacs Firebirds and Trans Ams.1977 Pontiac Trans Am Chase car would look good. Mmm.....Bandit
zed300 08-24-2009, 09:46 AM How about the 70 Chrysler 300H.
carhauler 08-24-2009, 05:54 PM I doubt you'll get a "C" body Chrysler, especially an Hurst. No chance for M2 to utilize the casting for other colors, etc. But Sean if you will make it, I'll buy several.
NWovalfan 09-02-2009, 04:35 PM How about "The Last of the Fifites"...... '59 Chevy (been done, but have to have a BowTie in there!), '59 Buick, Olds, Pontiac, Dodge, Ford; all of which I don't think have been done in 1/64th. The BOPs are especially nice, bridging the '50s to the '60s.

There would be quite a scale adjustment to make that fit in the blister. Btw, I would also buy a few.
Lummox 09-03-2009, 05:04 PM If people mistakenly refer to a hearse as a hurst, than why don't they refer to Hurst as hearse??? Hardly seems fair, wouldn't you agree?
carhauler 09-03-2009, 10:17 PM 300H was made by Hurst Lummox,,,,,,,,,I sold Chryslers in 1970 and you couldn't give an "H" away. Most dealers didn't ever get one anyway. We also had other "Limited Editions" thru the years that were equally ill-conceived.
desoto49 09-04-2009, 12:05 AM I would like to see cars from the early 50s. Ford, Mercury, and Olds from this era have been done, but few if any others. Also, with the exception of Cadillac, Chevy, and Desoto, very few 59s have made it to the pegs. It would be great to see a 59 Olds, Pontiac, Buick, or Dodge from M2. Finally I would like to see the Ford gap from '58 to '62 (except for '60) addressed by the Autothentic line.

No, I know...once you've been here longer, you'll realize "Oh, that's just Lummox being a frikkin weirdo again!" :)
Hurst had it's name on more than just the 300H...the Hurst Olds for one.
That's wicked cool you sold Chryslers back then!
tamiyatim 09-04-2009, 11:25 AM 68-72 nova, or 73-74 nova...
72-74 cudas or challengers...
FLOYDFROG 09-05-2009, 12:21 AM How about a line of hearses. Along with the usual Cadillacs throw in some Oldsmobiles, Pontiacs and Buicks. JL is doing a '57 Chevy.
Now that's a great idea!!! That would be an awesome series
72challenger 09-09-2009, 05:47 PM 72-74 challengers...

Seashark 10-04-2009, 10:36 PM How about a '66 Chrysler Imperial or perhaps a '62 crown Imperial.
Yeah, I'm a Mopar guy.
Uncle Tomica 10-14-2009, 08:58 PM I keep waiting for a mid fifties PACKARD which was hinted at is a clay photo.
HaarFager 11-13-2009, 06:15 AM A couple others suggested station wagons - I'm all for that! But, something unique like a 1954 Pontiac Safari or a 1960 Mercury Commuter or an Edsel like already mentioned. Or if you wanted to get really original, you could put out a 1971 Dodge Polara station wagon!

88th division 11-14-2009, 01:26 PM How about some 40s-60s pickups in the style of the Auto-Thentics?
YES!!!!! This would be a very cool series!! But keep them "original". I had some yat mings some time back, but I know M2 would really do these trucks justice.
98whitelightnin 11-14-2009, 07:47 PM I would love to see some trucks, like an old powerwagon. I would also love to see a 70 challenger.

Original is the only way for M2 to go when (if) they decide to do a pickup series. Customs and Restomod are cool too, but there are so many under-represented pickups that should be done (and well-done) bone-stock.
gr6120 11-18-2009, 11:14 PM A 1971 Ford Mustang Sportsroof would sure make my day .

Better post this to Greenlight; M2 does nice "50's and "60's stuff and there's a lot of gaps in those decades to fill.
