moparmarc 08-20-2009, 03:55 PM There was a raw casting last year of 72-4 Challenger?
I hope that is still a future casting!
carhauler 08-20-2009, 08:41 PM I say Great too; somebody at GreenLight knows what adult collectors want.,,,,,are we going to get more "in-scale" tires???
Lpgeoteacher 08-21-2009, 07:17 AM Great, where did you get these photos?
All of the Photos were from the Greenlight presentation at the AutoFest Dinner. (If you haven't gone to AutoFest you need too!) There was several presentations and great Cars given away in the dinner tote bag!
WarbirdTA 08-21-2009, 11:21 AM Hum,
I didn't see any new casts for Trans Ams/Firebirds.
I was hoping for a few new ones.
George
fuddmiester 08-21-2009, 09:25 PM That '87-'93 GT/LX Stang looks nice, but why does it have a hint of a landau roof??
69Stang 08-21-2009, 10:55 PM Still hopping for a SN-95 Platform Stang one day though!!! (1994-1998)
stretchdog 08-21-2009, 11:47 PM Still hopping for a SN-95 Platform Stang one day though!!! (1994-1998)
I agree, This is definitley a neglected model in small scale. Being a Vette guy, I am still hoping for a 91-96 version of the C4. I know they have been done, but very Scarcely IMO. HW did one for the 100% line and JL did a few. THE HW was a convertible that came in red and a blue GS version!! And of all that JL did, only 2 really looked the part. The Vette Magazine (yellow) and The James Bond 007 ZR1. I know JL also did the 50th Anniv editions, but they changed the tooling and the cars were too small :(. Hopefully we can both get our wish!!!
silverlakefarms 08-22-2009, 08:53 PM Any under the hood members, not wanting the Chevy with camper, willing to sell one or more if you can get more than one? Thanks for the reply!

Clamjuice 08-22-2009, 09:15 PM I'm sure some will pop up on the bay or TTP.
Why don't you join the club? we've got a great group over there..
Ricky2400 08-22-2009, 11:19 PM Lookin' at those pics!!! Looks like I'm gonna have to buy my wife-to-be some more purses! We have an agreement: every time I get a new car, SHE gets a new purse...I think she's up to about 86 or 87 purses already....

1976Cordoba 08-23-2009, 12:34 PM How hard would it be to turn that '80s Mustang into an '80s Mercury Capri 5.0?

I love the '87 thru '93 Mustangs. I only wish the LX was a hatchback. I had an '89 LX 5.0 in Bright Regatta Blue, ordered from the factory. That car was sweet!
Mark Hosaflook 08-25-2009, 03:30 PM Great, where did you get these photos?
From Kevin Davey

Interesting. UTH members are suppose to get first peeks. Oh well.

We we're told on the UTH club, that they would indeed have the hatchback. We see many Super Trooper's in the near future.

That's fantastic! I hope they use the blue that my car came in. I miss that car!!!!
stang_crazy 11-11-2009, 12:11 AM Still hopping for a SN-95 Platform Stang one day though!!! (1994-1998)
there is quite a bit of diescast out there for 94-98
pretty much all 60s, 70s, 94-2004, and 05 on up has had tons of castings.
its the 79-93's that are far and few.
stang_crazy 11-11-2009, 12:12 AM the 2 fox bodys dont looks right with the keystone style rims, id like to see 5 star pony wheels, or the turbines or even the 10 holes.
But im all for fox bodies thats for dang sure. also im digging the F-150 id like to see a nice super duty in 1/64th.
here are a few of mine.

How are there tons of castings for 94-98? Maybe cheap representations, but not a single good one. JL has the less than great Boss Shinoda, and hw's and matchbox both have 1 dollar representations, but how about a real collectors level detailed diecast. And lets have the variations as well, Cobra's and GT's.
NorthernMuscle 11-18-2009, 05:52 PM Does this mean we're finally going to get a good El Camino? Also, what is that grey casting above the Mustang? A Charger or Challenger?

Well in 1/64th scale i know racing champions did one back in the day thats not bad at all.
And JL has done more then just the boss shinoda of 94-98
Depends on what scale your talking about also.
69Stang 11-18-2009, 10:29 PM Sorry Stang Crazy, I have to go with Harristotle on this one. In 1:64, there is only a hand (maybe under 6) castings of a SN-95 Mustang. And let's be honest, we all wish we could forget that pitiful attempt that JL gave us!
But my dream would be for GL to cast this car in the manner it deserves. They do Stang's better in this scale then anyone in the business right now....I want them to take a shot at this one!

stang_crazy 11-19-2009, 12:49 AM 69stang, in 1/64th yes i would agree there is only a handfull, but in larger scales theres some pretty nice stuff out there, ill show some off once i get my collection out and start getting pics.
If you guys are into plastic model kits i could show you a very large stang collection in those of all years:thumbsup:
I do alot of model kits also ive done some custom builds heres a few just to show ya, no they arnt finished. I know these arnt diecast, but i do have some that i have stripped and redone.
