Hey all, I wanted to get some input from you guys on a new track that is coming to Greenville, SC soon. It will be about 10 minutes down the road from Carolina R/C in Easley, SC.

It will be an indoor oval and as of right now, looks to be about a 235'-245' runline based on the rough plans that we have laid out. Current plans are to start the build late next week if all goes well.

Currently, the track/building owner wants to make the track a banked, concrete surface. Others in the area want to make a flat, carpet oval since the closest one to us is about 3 hours away and we have an outdoor oval just down the road in Easley.

Just curious to get some input from some of you here that might be close enough to come race with us. What would you like to see as far as track surface? Would you be more interested in coming to race if it were carpet or concrete? I would like to get some input to pass along in hopes of creating a track that is the best it can be.

Thanks!

More tracks in a Small r/c oval market is always a good way to Kill it all!

Which is exactly why it was decided to make an indoor facility. Ever tried to race caps outdoors when it is 23*???:freak:

I do understand your point though, and we have considered that very thing. But, from everyone that we have spoken to in the area so far, we can't get an indoor facility built fast enough!
