Will the new smc 4900 50c 1 cell lipo battery that is comming out be legal to run in the 13.5 class for the up comming 2009-2010 BRL season?

If it receives ROAR approval before the start of the season.

I believe it is only a 40C and more then likely it will be approved.

When i spoke with brian from smc today he said there is a new smc 4900-50c 1 cell lipo battery comming out in a month or less and soon after the 40c will be off the market. so as it goes things change with the passing of time new and inproved items for racing are comming

Since its not time for the October 1st approvals, we don't really know what will be legal for the upcoming season yet, let alone whats best...stay tuned.

Currently, the Fantom 5000, Thunder Power 5000, and SMC 4000 are all approved. There will be more than that by October 1st.

Well, actually they did for a while. But the good news is once we see what ROAR has approved by their Oct 1st cut off date, we'll know what's legal for the rest of the season. No mid-season new battery introductions (at least none that will be allowed for this BRL season).
