The price will make or break this line. If they are $5 like the other M2s they won't sell very well but if they are priced like the Drivers series they should do OK.

Fred's selling these for the same price as past Auto-Thentics .

Fred comments on his site that " we all felt the gapping hole left by the loss of MUSCLE MACHINES............"
Get off my side Fred ! Please.. someone assure us that there is still efforts at M2 to continue to deliver the products that truely made this company unique. Accurate offerings of cars from the 50s-60s

Maybe these goofy clown cars will fly off the pegs ... who knows .. but they're still embarrassing..

Here's the pics that M2 emailed me. These are pre-pro models. Not exactly the cream of the crop from M2, sigh.

Taking in mind the continuity mistakes in scale on recent M2 releases and this new "Jada style" release I think IŽll save a lot of money in M2 purchases.

I'm sorry but will pass on these. When I first saw the tiny pic on the bottom of the poster someone posted I though they would just add a motor and change the hood.

I have every authentic M2 has made, some of the Muscles and I might even buy a custom but these and the "Drivers" don't do it. Good Luck SEAN; but if it don't work out; I'm still here looking for a stock '56 Ford Pickup and others. Steves164 said it all really,,,,,,,,,more scale stuff,,,,,,,'40's, '50's, '60's..................

Nothing but my best wishes for M2, they seem to be a geat company. But this line just does nothing for me. In fact, I am pretty suprised how little positive feedback it has recived on the first few threads I've seen.

I saw these at the Autofest and I thought they were cool... just not cool enough that I will buy them.

The only one that I will even think about is the Ford truck... the only market I see for these is for custom parts when they hit the clearance rack...

Conservative values for the classics always win. Good luck with these.
The traditionalist will never buy. Even my 19 year old son loves the classics like a '71 hemi cuda.

Reminds me of "Back To The Future" with INFLATION.

A diecast car similar to a Muscle Machines car with a higher price.:drunk:

They remind me of Muscle Machines with the same ill proportioned wheels and motors....well not quite as ill proportioned, but pretty darn close. I'll pass.

Wow, thats a lot of negative comments! Lets see, maybe these will sell pretty good at retail; Muscle Machines never seemed to last long on the pegs. Kids may like these a lot, and if they sell, thats more $ for M2 to use on stuff us collectors really like. I really like the looks of the injected engine in the 'Cuda; great custom part for gassers and early funny cars. Its not too oversized if at all, and looks pretty cool.

NWovalfan, I was thinking the same thing about those injectors, but I really need to see one in person to know if the scale is right for customs. You are right about the MM collectors. They are pretty avent collectors, but these dont have that all out sureal look of the MM's that those collectors love. These are kinda in the middle so only time will tell how well they do.

Similar thinking here, Brock. I've never been a fan of Muscle Machines but I know guys who love them. To each his own. Perhaps Castline figured they would capture the market void after the discontinuation of MMs. Heck, us naysayers could end up with egg on our faces if this line takes off!:freak:

IMHO....I'm thinking Sean is missing his old Muscle Machines Lineup.....I'm not too crazy about these as there is no Interior inside them with those blacked out windows - - so this means hallow insides.....Great for shipping and packing but not so good for the True Collector who wants something great for his Collection.....

If they are cheap enough then I will pick them up for some Kustoms I am doing....My new unexpected 47 Coe I bought off of eBay from a 6 Car Lot that stated - GREAT SHAPE CARS - will need some new Rims & Tires as well as a new look as the paint was rattle canned....This Coe was the most Horrific Kustom I have ever seen with a Rattle Can Paint Job and the Wheels glued stiff for a No Roll performance.....It Rolls now but its going through the stripping paint stages right now to clean it up.....I may keep it a Zamac look.....Saved another Car from the scrap yard.

I would say that support for this line, after reading the responses on different boards concerning the GPs, is at single digit lows. These are a day late and a dollar short to market. They look cool "middle of the road" style. It's been done...better.

Ouch!, what are they thinking? Many retailers and OLD's are discontinuing mucle machines and these are just what they are. I wouldn't put them in my collection if they were free!
