Is it possible and, if so how, to mount different bodies on different chassis?

Can a Life-Like go on a SG+ or Tyco 440?

Can a Tyco 440 go on a SG+?

Thanks for your help!

Adapter clips are the way to go of course.

Randy at "Hilltop Raceway" has a great method to convert any body that is wide enough to AFX basket handle mounting, as well as Tyco and Life Like adaptations

See "1 Scale Volvo", Neal Abramson had an excellent tutorial on Tyco adaptations using styrene modeling stock.

You'll have to do some digging to find them as they were originally posted in the before time...LOL!

Bud had "Buddy Clips" for AFX/Tomy-to-Narrow Tyco and Tyco-to-Tomy/AFX if memory serves but I didn't see them listed today. You could contact Robert and ask about them.

Since Russ the Human Dummy couldn't find the Buddy Clips on Bud's site, he emailed Robert who promptly responded. They are listed on the HO Parts page under STOCK PARTS FOR TOMY SG+ & SRT TURBO CHASSIS. Look at the bottom of that list and you'll find the following:

Buddy Clip 1 Converts SG+ Chassis to Tyco Wide Body Chassis

Buddy Clip 2 Converts JL AFX bodies to fit a Tyco 440X2 slim Chassis

OK.. it's common sense, but make sure the new chassis wheelbase will work before modifications are made!!! :)

the life like bodies can be mounted on tomy turbos (so I assume some of them should work on magna and original G-plus too).

you have to mount a plasticard bit on each side of the lifelike body, with a cut to fit the tomy turbo. ;)

there is somewhere a tutorial for that thing.
