As a follow-on from my thread on the Flying Sub in the Moebius section I thought I'd just post some pics of a technique I've picked up courtesy of this site...

...thanks Raytheon!
I think I've cracked a way of lighting the floor without resorting to EL sheet...that's Electro-Luminescent sheet for those not in the know.
I'm still experimenting but the results so far look promising.
The idea I've pinched from looking at that big scale Aliens APC in the link is using self-adhesive aluminium foil to act as both a reflector and also a barrier to preventing the light from bleeding through the plastic.
I had a hunt around and found a large roll in a local engineers merchants...it's used for sealing ducting so I reckon you can probably find it in a plumbing merchants too....it cost me £8.00 but for that you get a lot of tape.

It's basically like self-adhesive kitchen foil and can be burnished down really flat.
I've used it as a light block on the underside of the floor...

...and also on the inside of the hull to act as a reflector...more on that later...

One thing that occurs to me with this stuff is that it could be used to add very subtle panel detail to flat areas of kits...anyway, more progress pics later...
