Guys, I Just wanted everyone to know that we are planning a SNOWBIRDS warm-up race.

Friday Practice 8am-11pm
Saturday Racing 8am conrolled practice 10:30 racing starts, Final and practice if there is time
Sunday Continued OVAL practice 10am-5pm.


The Track will be laid out as close to snowbird dimensions as Mike can advise us too.

Let me know if you will be coming so we can plan and arrange discounts for the hotels. I plan on having atleast 4 hotels offering discounts for you.

Since there is also a BRL race that weekend would everybody prefer to do it the week before with a simialr schedule? Most people are off Jan 1 anyways. Any thoughts?

yes it is real tight in that month. this give 3 weeks before snowbirds and the track will be the same dimensions. So I hope that everyone that is going will head out to lay down some laps. But since it is so far away we are open to your suggestions.

It sounds like it is going to stay on the weekend of the 9th.

i am still open to it. Just need to know when you want 2 weeks from the birds worries me because the brids is longer. maybe we should do a poll on what date and lock it in that way.

I just mentioned Hooter tour because I'm pretty sure a good bunch from your area are planning on running it. January 1st and January 16th are both HCOT races. The original date works for me.

yes looking at all the dates it is pretty much packed that month! i am sure people will not want to take and do during christmas time.

I hope I can make it down there since all of you guys came up and supported the race I put on last spring! Plus, it'll be nice to get on a BIG carpet track again.

Why I mentioned the weekend of 1-3 was that the 1st for this race would only be practice so all the locals including myself could do the Hooters race Jan 1 and then this race Jan 2. Doesn't matter to me though.

The only thing better than 1 race in a weekend would be 2 races. LOL.

it is about 10 minutes away from where the concrete track is. The schedule would prob be practice Friday and race Saturday.

Do you have an address for that location I am about 85% sure I am going to The Birds this year.
