Hey guys,
I blew the 8.5hp Briggs engine on my troybilt walkbehind mower. I found a replacement Briggs L-head engine (taken off a snapper riding mower) with the same exact output shaft, but I don't know what the HP is (owner lost the starter cover). It's set up with the downdraft carb that's commonly found on these engines, and a muffler that would be pointed right at me.
Is it okay if I swap the old carb and muffler off my dead engine? Or is there a chance it won't work?
