Couldn't get the rear-end hop out of my car all day yesterday. Leading Edge T2 (older car), 13.5/1s, GTB. Running on smooth asphalt; Pink RR/LR/LF; purple RF. Front springs: LF - red; RF - white. Green center spring; LR spring - gold; RR spring - blue. Not sure what all's in the shocks right now oil-wise. .063 fiberglass T-plate. Car would turn in OK, but in the center of the corner, the rear end would hop. I turned down the EPA on the steering and that helped a little bit. I played with adjusting the rear and center spring collars all day and just could not get rid of the chattering. I just couldn't get it to come off the corners like I wanted. I did, however, manage to cut off 1/2 a second from my practice lap times to my qualifying and main lap times.

Any help on a setup? Thanks!

Well if you don't know what is in the shocks for oil that is where I would start. You need to rebuild the shocks. The chatter is more than likely the shocks. I would start with 35wt oil and go from there. Be sure the front king pins are smooth, and the front end has no binding going on.

Even though you have an old car you should be able to get it around the track with no issues. With 13.5 1C line and a smooth car is going to be key. If you are not really sure on how to build the car smooth, and money is not a issue having Ozzy from RIP Motorsports could build it for you so you could have a goal to shoot for.

Jimmy where you running BSRs or RC4Less tires? I,m guessing this was at Stricklands? How many 13.5 1c cars showed up.....I had to work could'nt make it, the whole two job thing is really SUCKING!

What do you mean by incorrect length?

Not enough travel? Shocks are bottoming out so they chatter?

Thanks for the tips on saturday. Car will be rebuilt and hopefully good to go at MTR for the Dog Day race.

Was running BSR's all the way around. We had 11 CoT cars, only nine I think made it to the main.

Anytime I've had a chatter in the rear end, it was fixed by softening it up. Softer side springs, softer center shock spring, lighter shock oil, or softer t-plate.
