I want to put an inline fuel filter on my motorcycle. The filters I have come across have two different variables. 1. Some are made for engines with fuel pumps and others are not discribed as such. Correct me if I am wrong but, I feel that the ones that are meant for engines with fuel pumps will not work on gravity type fuel systems. (more restriction). The ones that are designed for gravity are anywhere from 40-150 microns in filtration. I am thinking that one with 150 would not alow enough fuel to power a 750cc engine. What do you guys think? Does a 60 micron filter seem like the way to go?

60 Microns sounds like it might stop a tomcat and a 2x4 but that's all. I'd use 100 mesh if it were me but I don't recall what micron that converts to. You could look it up in an Engineering Handbook. Motorcycle dealer shoud be able to help you.
