Whats the setting on these for the carb? these have the new cadillac converter on them or something. Burned up three motors in several months (convered under warrenty). was told by another tech they were running to lean b/c Makita set them to the original specs of the others before they moved to this style. i could call them but i off work today.

Base settings should be 1 turn each on the high and low screws with a max no load 9350 rpms. I know there has been engine issues on these units in the wacker model and one thing that was found you need to be using a synthetic mix oil @ 50:1 ratio.

makita brand. we use to run the stens but found that not to work to well. i give it a shot
