John Wyer Automotive entered three Porsche 917Ks at the 1970 LM 24 Hours. It wasn't a good year, as all three retired. The #22, driven by Mike Hailwood & David Hobbs, retired in the 5th hour, follwing an accident with one of the Alfa Romeo T33s

Steve mentioned Alfa, so I had to reply. Alfa ran 4 long-tailed 33.3's (numbers 35-38) at Le Mans in 1970. All DNF :drunk: Here is the SOLIDO model from 1971 (made in France), so it is the only contemporary model that I know of.

It is pictured next to a 1970 short-tail 33.3 (#32 from Sebring), in resin by Project 43, made in Italy several years ago.

Karl, as well as the contemporay Solidos, M4 have recently made all four Alfas from LM 1970. I've only got one of them, the #35 Tipo 33.3

i've seen that same exact transporter! I think brumos owns it or an exact same one, and its red with silver "porsche" writing on the side.
