After seeing several of the photos of the Iron Man kits in various stages of building and completed, I got really excited to build the Mk II version. I've reposed the right arm and hand basically by drilling a few new holes and all fits nicely (with a small amount of sanding). After doing some seam filling and final sanding I plan to re-spray the kit with the metalizer paints by Testors. We'll see how it goes...

Is this an actual MKII kit or is it an MKIII kit you've sprayed silver?

Cool! Can't wait to see the finished product.
Are you going to put the decals on?

Hey Buddy for a really nice chrome finish after you sanded and puttied all the seams try alclad 2 chrome works great looks like chrome plastic only thing though is once you primer the kit you have to shoot it with a high gloss black let dry really good then airbrush alclad 2 chrome comes out a mirror finish for the gloss black any black will work but i would use alclad gloss black as well .

If there is any modification done where there is sanding involved, I would suggest picking up a polishing kit, Alclad is a great paint but if there is any imperfection so much as a scratch it will show. You can polish the plastic or your gloss paint and get fantastic results.

Yes, I plan to do all the decals. Once this is finished, I have the MKIII and plan to build it with no alterations. Moebius Rocks!!

Sounds pretty cool. I don't think I want the super shiney "chrome" look however. I've used the Model Master metalizer paints on several aircraft models and really like the look after they're buffed with a kleenex. So... that's the plan... we'll see how it comes out. Thanks for the suggestion!! - Denis
