roadrner 08-06-2009, 08:13 AM Doba,
Based only on the wheels and tires, DC. Too bad, can you imagine if TL started doing slotcar wheels and tires like that?
P.S. I would love to be wrong and have that turn out to be a slotcar! :) rr
Montoya1 08-07-2009, 04:32 PM You think they would see those wheels, see their slot cars, and join the dots.
SplitPoster 08-08-2009, 09:55 PM Nice looking, accurate to scale, fine graphics and detail, cool wheels without magilla gorilla tires, great stance - must be DC. Looks nice, not like a plastic cartoon toy. If there were a line of s/mod slot cars like that do you think they would sell?
They don't use dots Montoya, they arent' in the slot car budget.

Well, they've been doing slots for a few years now and I guess the DC shop doesn't talk with the SC shop and business goes on as usual. :freak:
You'd think there would be some cost savings to be gained if these two elements shared some of their ideas, findings or products. But then again, I'm not into this line of business and there may be many other issues at hand that prevent this from working in a profitable manner. rr
Bill Hall 08-10-2009, 12:09 PM Ever try and mount up those purdy diecast wheels? Either they are not round or the centers arent properly located. Good wheels cost money! Good wheels that run true and are pretty to boot...= priceless!
Keep dreamin'
videojimmy 08-11-2009, 10:29 AM the rims I've pulled from Jada and Dub City die casts are great. Just slap on a silicone tire for the AFX specialty rims and you're all set.
sethndaddy 08-13-2009, 01:29 PM looks like 1/32nd slot to me, judging by the driver
WesJY 08-13-2009, 03:52 PM looks like a 1:18 diecast ERTL?
Wes
NTxSlotCars 08-13-2009, 04:58 PM That's actually a real car.
demether 08-14-2009, 04:39 AM RRR make almost the same wheels, in chrome version. With a little paint, you can have that look. ;)
