Well I was told there would be no fees if it was sent to me as a gift. Just plain hokey pokey, the receipient gets hit with the fee as usual. So be sure your aware of this so you know exactly where your going to land when the deal is done

Hey guys, Please send me a donation to verify this. This way you can verify the fee charge if any. I'll be sure and reimburse you for the fee charge. PM me for my paypal address. Glad to help, Thanks...RM

T-Jet Racer,

Not to throw anymore doubt here, but, I recently got payment this way and there was no fee. I'm looking at the transaction now on my PayPal account and it shows no fee was taken out of my end (the money receiving end).

Maybe it has to do with what type of account and verification? My account is a Premier account that is verified. I also looked at the fee schedule and unfortunately it does not break it down for each Personal payment choice, but it does state that it is free when the money comes from PayPal balance or bank account or it is the normal fee of 3% + $.30USD when the money comes from a debit or credit card or PayPal Credit and the sender decides who pays this fee.

This was not from you, Dennis bearsox and I had a transaction, he said it should be no fee but he paid the fee just incase. I was charged the fee so I sent him a copy just to show him that no matter how you send it, they allways get their cut. Sorry for the confusion but honestly that is not the problem we were having with the paypal, I have no idea why your payment would not show up in my account. You should contact Paypal to see wtf was wrong. Thanks again for your purchase!!
Chris!

I just went to the account there is no way for me verify it was sent as a gift from what I see, I may be wrong would not be the first time.
Anyway, if you guys say there is no fee, I will try it that way again.
It is possible that it was send as a purchase and I thought it was Dennis who was sending the gift payment?? I will let you know what I find out in the next few paypals. Sorry for the confusion.
Thanks Chris

Guys ,
i was going by what i had heard about GIFTING. That said when i sent Chris the money i messed up and forgot to send as a gift so when it came to Chris it was sent the same old fashion way we allways did and thus ..... fees. Sorry guys I BOTCHED IT UP ! Good thing is Chris and i had discussed that i would pay fees upfront anyway and doing the gift thing was to be an experiment to see the result. Well i hope that clears up some of the confusion. Looks like from another post that this does however work but i will need to TRY it again at a later date.

I sent a payment to myself as a gift. Paypal charged me to send as a gift and there was a fee for it to go back into my account. I sent it on a debit so they charged the normal percentage to send from a debit card. I sent a really huge gift, but it was more than I had in the bank so the bank sent me a fee to. Paypal found out about the reversal, so they charged an additional fee. ebaY found out about the reversal and automatically posted negative feedback on me. Because of my feedback score percentage dropping, Paypal went up on there fee percentages. I am currently trying to see if this fee percentage thing is retro active, because I am now losing money on things I sold previously. This little experiment has just gone all wrong.
Long story short, I WISH YA'LL WOULD HAVE STRAIGHTENED THIS OUT A LITTLE SOONER!!!!!

Can I borrow five bucks for lunch?
