O.K. so I am doing a small diorama. I am using Woodland Scenics tree kit. Any tips from the guys here on making these trees look their best? Oh, this is going to be an "N" scale diorama.

paint the tree frames with some highlights before adding the ground foam or foam chunks. You can highlight them with a little yellow lightly sprayed on the tops of the tres to give some depth. Also, you can spray a little dark green on the undersides.

I have built a total of 6 trees so far and forgot on all 6 to paint the trunks first! I took one this morning and did a black base coat followed by dark brown and lighter brown highlights. Turned out pretty well. I need to build one more tree.
