I have a question for you modelers who put you aircraft on display at hobby shops. If the store has hundreds on display, how do they know which ones belong to you? I know strange question right but there is a reason for it. Before my brother passed away he wanted his models shipped to him from his local shop where he had them displayed and stored (100+). He had been building for 30 years mostly 1/48th scale Navy/Marine aircraft and had known the current shop owner for over 20 of those years. Here is the problem, the shop owner says he doesn't know which models belong to my brother or not. Do builders put some sort of identifier on your models, do shop owners catalog them when they rotate their displays?

I very rarely put identifying marks but think I'd put a label or tag on a model--especially if it had a base--if I were leaving it at a model shop so no one would be in any doubt as to whom it belonged.
