Not sure what other cars beside XX4 still use belts...
Long ago I had to ditch some Yokomo's cause the belts were not only hard to get but the ones I had were falling apart.

Now I am facing the same deal with the Losi xx4 belts. Im sure they are readily available but the ones I have that are unused seem to be falling apart.

When I purchase spare belts how can I preserve them for future use and assure they will not fall apart???

The Schumacher Cat uses a belt as well. How do you store your new belts?

Detached insulated garage in a plastic box of other xx4 parts.

Point is I can still run vintage stuff from 20 years ago. But the belt driven cars dont seem like they are going to hold up if the belts are gonna rot, then it dont matter about the rest of the support parts.

I would armor all them or dip them in wax.you should be able to clean them when your ready to use them.

Air (ozone) and sunlight (ultraviolet) can wreak havoc on rubber parts. Seal them in an air tight container and keep them out of the sunlight.

Thanks all for waking me up, asleep at the wheel.
Looks like the belts start to turn white on the outside just before they start to rot.
