Some of you guys have commented on the wheels I have on some of my cars. They have photo etched wheel inserts. You can get them from this guy Tony in the UK.

Yes Tyco and Tomy. You have to shorten the axles a little on some cars. You paint the inside of the wheel black. And just glue in the insert. The Promod project below uses the same wheels but the rear wheels have larger axle holes to fit the AFX 4-gear axles. The fronts use little spacers to get the correct width. Anyone know where I can get a new style type injector hat or even a correct scale complete Promod motor I can cut down?

KD, A lot of the Muscle Machines Pro Mod cars had those top hat type scoops. These were out several years back. I have one, but I don't know what the shipping down under would be. Let me know if you can't get one...Here's one on the bay. You want the Hot N Nasty, 37 Chevy Coupe...RM

Thanks very much RM. I will check them out. Shipping to me can be anything from US$3.85-US$11.80. I need to ship a few things at once or the postage can hurt.

When I read up it seemed a lot more involved than that, drills and dremels and such.

I mentioned shorten the axles only if you buy the aluminum wheels as well as the inserts. You will have to drill out Tyco,Tomy stock wheels. The car below has the inserts fitted to HP7 stock wheels, no drilling out!
