I received some Minichamps several weeks ago and I immediately compared the Alfa Romeo 8C made by Kyosho. The latter is one of my favorite cars in my Kyosho collection. I am amazed at the level of detail that minichamps gave their new 1/64 models. Scale wise, I think they're the same, the MC is just riding a bit lower. Here are some shots I took... Thank you for the pictures. Can't wait to see the GT3 comparison soon.
Both cars are excellent casts but the Minichamps edges out Kyosho with more details. I love the added details on the wheels, brakes, and the rear view mirrors of the Minichamps, but the Kyosho's has a better rendition of the side vent (and cheaper at the original MSRP). Both are a must-have in any 1/64 die-cast collection.

Like Kotetsu, said, both are wonderful castings. But push comes to shove, I will have to tip my head to the Minchamps. I think they won me over with the ride height. On a static casting, the little things become so importiant, so that just toped it off for me!

what y'all said... I think they are both phenomenal but side by side the MC just nails it.

I think minichamps paint the interior ??
