Hi Guys, Ive got this tractor moewer that runs great for around an hour and then starts spluttering and backfiring and then dies.... if you leave it to cool.... it starts again just fine.

Ive changed the sparkplug, the inline petrol filter, cleaned out the air filter and changed the oil (as I had it in bits).

It still does exactly the same.... any ideas???

when it dies have you checked to see if there is spark? also check your gas cap the vent could be plugged up and causing vapor lock

Sounds like the coil is overheating. When it stalls out, check for spark. If no spark then replace coil. I had the same problem with a friend's pocket rocket bike.
