Hi I have 4.0hp B&S engine on my lawn mower, it was always had starting after muliple priming and pulls it would start run for a a few seconds and stall out. If you did this for about 5 min eventually it "might" stay going. Anyways I just replaced the diaphram & gasket as the carb sits on the tank, when I was done it still starts and stalls out, with air cleaner off I can see gas being squirted when primed into the carb ............any ideas what is going on here?

The main jet in the carburetor is likely plugged or restricted. If you could post the model and type number of your engine we could be more specific with repair suggestions.

did you clean out the resorvour in the tank where the carb tube sets down in ?

if there is any grit or dirt or grime in that chamber it will do what it is doing
