Hello Everyone,
Although I'm a newcomer to these forums, I've raced slot cars for many, many years ( with a nice long break of 20 plus years before returning in 2005 ). Those of you who know me know that besides HO I have a real passion for commercial 1/24th scale racing, specifically scratchbuilding chassis'. The "holy grail" of 1/24th chassis building is to find that prefect block/jig that will provide the chassis builder with a flat surface and the necessary pin placements to construct a square, flat chassis.
Over the years I have tried many, always returning to my favorite Champion Slate Block, which I stockpiled, until I found the R-Geo Jig made by Rick Bennardo. Ricks blocks are flat and square, provide seemingly uncountable number of combination of pin placements and wheelbases, and thumbscrew hold downs to hold those bits and pieces in place while you solder. Simply, one of the two best jigs/blocks on the market ( The BackTrack is the other ).
Well, to the title of this thread. Rick has brought his skill of jig/block making to HO scale; here is a photo of his latest offering:

I wanted to let everyone know about this cool little tool. I don't have one yet ( just placed my order ) and I'm looking forward to building some BRASCAR chassis' on this. If you want more specs contact Rick; Google R-Geo.
Be good,
Keith VanAtta
