Here is a map showing all of the local hotels. If you think you may need a hotel I would suggest getting one soon. There is a lot going on in the area that weekend.

Saw the track this last weekend - don't let the track size fool you. It will make for some tight and exciting racing at the 1st Annual RC Supernationals. There is enough room to put in a high groove for some great racing.

Good job guys! Nice track

Does anyone know exactly how far this is from the big dirt track? I don't think Boone is that big but wasn't sure how far away it is? Trying to make my schedule work to see if I can race. Thanks.

David, it is downtown Boone, at the intersection of HWY 30 and Story Ave, which is the Big Dirt Track, just go North probably 1 mile to 6th St and turn right, it will be on your left.

Looking forward to meeting you, I can't make the East-West Race, but I should be able to make the Rc Supernationals.

If you're planning on Saturday, there is a parade in the morning downtown which could make parking downtown a problem, as Mike says maybe be there early.

Here is a map to get between the two.

Like AJ said, there is a parade on saturday morning that will congest the whole downtown area.

I tried to make the schedule spread out enough so that it would be possible to miss saturday and still get to run quite a bit.

2 qualifiers on saturday between 10 and 2

2 more sunday and mains.

Hope to see you there.

Getting closer, just under 2 weeks away. Working on all the little things now. Trying to get the track even smoother. Should have the place cleaned up and corners defined better. We did race a week ago and found some real close racing. Slowed the cars down with the 17.5 motors and actually ran more laps. Cars are real drivable. AJ and I ran 4 minutes and I don't think we were more than .2 apart from each other the whole time. When it is time to race, we could mix it up with some bodyslams and crossovers. Great time on the bullring. It's a lot like Boone's big track, long straights, tight corners. Hope to see a good turnout in 11 days.

Well everyone, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the oval track is shut down. We just weren't seeing the car count we needed to make it work.

AJS,

Yeah that Mayhew can WHEEL anything with Wheels!

We're hoping he'll land in a Craftsman TRUCK or Nationwide car for some races! - he just finished 4th in the Camping World East race at Dover a week or so ago - FIRST time on the track - and he led a little.
