I didn't even notice that. That does suck. I guess that was the trade-off for the metal base..:rolleyes:

actually, it does look like they ran out of metal right there on the corner.:rolleyes:

Its where they made it look like a corner light into the body instead of the grille, but it must have looke better on paper. the box is the best part, just kinda cheap. matchbox made a lot of things this year that remind me a lot of the majorette cars

That's what I thought when I posted the pics, but after looking closely, it isn't a defect. It just appears that way because of the odd way each section was cast. The headlight points forward while the bumper/grille casting curves inward. Ignore the gap between the base casting and the body casting and it'll look correct.

needing the Mclaren, Prius, Blue F-100, & Green VW bus....great finds there!
