I gotta say I share the same opinion about Simon and she did.

No disrespect to the deceased. Some things that get reported as being News Worthy are really not. I log into my homepage Comcast and some of the stuff they have as news makes me shake my head in disbelief.

News worthy? Sure LOCAL news worthy. Not National news worthy nor Splashed all over the internet news worthy. A tragic local news event.
What makes it a big story? The fact she was on AI?

An unfortunate turn of events, but I gotta tell ya; I think American Idol is soooo overblown and over hyped that it's ridiculous. I think it makes about as much sense covering that show on the evening news as it would be recounting what happened on Galactica or House. It's a frikkin' TV show! They need to stop making it out to be this national, drop what you're doing event. Just my opinion for what it's worth. Your mileage may vary.
