Chris S 08-04-2009, 01:21 PM I wish I could make this one, I had a great time up there last month even if my car didn't have too much fun. It just isn't in the cards for me this time. I would love to drive the 13.5 on that track with the drafting effect, and to take out that Terry Christy guy. Hope everyone has fun.
MIDWESTRC 08-04-2009, 02:56 PM Hays you have PM. Thanks
I'm not going to be able to make this one either. Even though my results have been sub-par, I have had a great time and want to thank Hays for coming up with the idea and then following it through to the end. Great series, great tracks, all different, but fun.
Hope it makes a 2nd season.
AJ
My only regret is that more people weren't willing to come and join in the fun, one of the biggest myths about cap racing is that the tires are expensive, it is so much cheaper than carpet racing, and once you have a good setup in the car the tires barely wear.
Oh well their loss.

The track will be open at 8:00 until dark (maybe later)
This is the tentative schedule:
2:00 1st round
3:15 2nd round
4:30 3rd round
5:45 4th round
7:00 Mains (B -Main will be 1st with the top 2 finishers moving to the A)
If enough want to, we can run a 100 lapper after the mains.
The points race is very close, so it should be a good day of racing.
Kevin Koback 08-20-2009, 04:30 PM Better have the Packer game on your TV Hays, or I may have to leave early :)

I'm surprised you're making such an absurd statement, you should know better than that!!!
You better watch it or you will be docked "Bad Additude points". Check the appropriate rule # in The Simkin's point system, not to be confused with the rule in the Heft New Class section.
I do believe you owe him 15 pts yet from SS. You better have a real good weekend to overcome that. lol
pmsimkins 08-20-2009, 05:43 PM You better have a real good weekend to overcome that. lol
I don't think third place will be good enough to do it! :p

The real equalizer will be when you 3 freight train me in 3 (that's if I make it), to lap me and I screw up like last week, who will survive?? I guess I'm taking Sully's role this week.
TLCNUM3 08-20-2009, 06:15 PM See ya all around noon tomorrow, have the spare parts box ready for me Hays. I hope the shop is well stocked!!!!!!!!!!!! Terry

Hey Mike....I had fun running at Stormsteel and the concrete Superslab with all you guys as well. I will miss this last race as well at my home track......my company has me helping with the relocation of the office to the top floor of a high rise building in downtown Chicago. while I rather be wheeling around my toy car....to keep my job, I guess I had better do what needs to be done for the company. Maybe if I hit the 200+ million dollar lottery this weekend.......I can say that old song that states: "take this job and shove it", if not they will see me on Monday morning as usual. Good luck to all those that are racing this weekend.....wish I were there.

Chris S 08-24-2009, 08:54 AM Any results? I know, if I would have been there, I would already have them...
TLCNUM3 08-24-2009, 09:31 AM Thanks Hays for putting togeather this series this summer. I have had a blast. Thanks to the Tri-clone crew, I had a great time. Dead last in 21.5, but someone had to. A big thanks again to Cory for all the help. I'll be a little more prepaired next time. Definatly a challenging track. I think another 2 minutes and I'd a had you in 13.5 Hays!!!!!!!!!! Hope we can do it again next year. See ya on the rug this winter. Terry
haysreeling 08-24-2009, 04:07 PM Congrats to Corey Heft, your 2009 Summer BRL champion. Kevin Koback was 2nd and Cody Erdmann was 3rd. Cody was tied for 3rd with Michael Clement, but we gave it to Cody because Mike wasn't there to arm wrestle him for the tie breaker. We gave it to Cody because he did more races. Terry Christy won the 13.5 class.
Pat Simkins TQ'd and Corey won the 21.5 A-main at the finals. Bob Bendixen won the Latemodel main.
It was a lot of fun this summer and thanks to the few who participated.
Terry, maybe if there were 2 more mins, I may have lapped you!! Seriously, thanks for coming.
Andy Koback 08-24-2009, 05:44 PM Thanks Hays and all that were apart of the series. Cody and I had a great time. Now if we could just figure out how to beat the 3 amigos !!!!!!! See you all soon
Well Steve, looks like it'll be the "Dynamic Duo" to contend with now!!!
