This August 30th, Trax70 will be bringing you our first IRS Pro-Oval Shootout. This will be our final big event for the season so if you haven't driven the speed of the high banks yet, now's your chance. This will be a ca$h race with the top 6 cars locking into the A-main of each class, with the 7 and 8 spots coming from the top 2 finishers from the B-mains. The entry fee for this event will be $25 for the first class, $15 for the second, $10 for the third, the classes will be 21.5 2-cell, 10.5 1-cell, 7.0 Breakout and Open Modified. The payouts will be determined by the amout of entries for each class. The all-time record was not broken at the last event so the open mod record still stands at a 41 4:01.86 with the $100 cash prize rolling over to this event. The cash prize will also grow for this event. Also, all IRS parts for this event will be 10% off in the hobby store. Any questions just pm me. I'll see you all trackside:thumbsup:

This is what it was for the race in June.Charlie/Boomer correct me if it changed.Hope you guys can make it.They do not have a 13.5 class, the track is about the same run line as Rte 281 but almost a second quicker per lap http://www.jlapracemanager.com/cgi-bin/JLapViewResults.asp?where=Trax70 http://www.trax70.com/index2.shtml for pics of track

the class as of right now are 10.5 1 cell (smc only) , 21.5 2 cell (3200 max) and the last class is called the brake out class, this class is and pan car with anything in it but it cannt go under a 7.0 sec lap time..

yes there is practice on the 29th.If you are up for it they are also running a mod class for this race(2 cell 13.5 will get you to 5.6 and 2c 10.5 will get you 5.4 if you can hold on to it)

HAHA! Sounds fun but I better stick to the slow classes. Leave that open mod stuff to the pros.

George, I had given that some thought but for the remainder of this season we are going to stick with the SMC 25c 4000 1c. However all of the new 1c batteries will be legal for the indoor season.:)

For 10.5 it's the SMC 25c 4000 1s battery only, for 21.5 it's any roar legal 2s 40c battery with a 3200 max limit.
However, if you want to run the mod class, it's any roar legal 2s battery:wave:

In an effort to cut back on some of the classes, would everyone be interested in running 21.5 2S & 10.5 1S together, like was done at Trains & Lanes for the ROC?

If thats the case most guys have 21.5 so combining the two classes may not ne needed if a few guys change class? But if not I dont see why we cant combine the two if needed?

PS
I know the weather look poor as of now but I live near the track and have been monitoring the conditions through out the week and things are lookng up for Sun :) and a wash out on SAt so we may be good come race time!!

There was a breakout car in 21.5 last race.

21.5 Tq from July
1 3 Braman, Barry 38 00:04:00.654 00:06.087
10.5 Tq from July
1 2 Coopey, Charlie 38 00:04:00.883 00:06.019
Seem pretty close to me.Why have 6 21.5 cars and 8-10 10.5 cars running seperate mains.Keep them seperate and everyone can make the "A".The weather forecast is not good,so some the out of towners aren't going to make it.This will be your basic Fri crowd with me,Irrgang,Chuck and the Bramans. It was just a suggestion,do what you want.I can tell you I am not staying all day to run with 5-6 cars.

Actually it's this, but still close enough, and yes i'm not interested in racing with 5-6 either. I'm in for Mod, but we'll see what goes on for the other classes.

No i don't believe there has been a true test done. Same person would have to have his car handling perfect for each combo then see what they run. Can't compare 1 person to another. Perfect example is that 1 cell was supossed to be slower than 13.5 4 cell, however some guys are going faster with 10.5 1s than they did with 2+ years of 13.5 4 cell.
